Does it snow there ?
If I was a player I would not be keen playing there
Well at least they have a great hospital there to treat the players for frost bite

Back to main topic.
Seriously though, it's Mount Barker, 30 kilometres from the CBD - perhaps 20 minutes past the old tollgate. Compare that to the time it takes to find a park and walk to some existing grounds. We're not talking about having to book into a hotel room and stay the night here.

I live 5 kms from the GPO Mal - Unley is quite close for me - 15 minute drive. Norwood is about 5 minutes, Prospect is 5 minutes, Noarlunga is the farthest and I reckon Elizabeth and Mt Barker the same trip - therefore it wouldn't faze me at all.mal wrote:smac wrote:It takes me 35 minutes to get from the city to Elizabeth on a Friday afternoon at 5.30, I reckon Mt Barker would be the same. GEOGRAPHY LESSONS CHAPS
The closer the suburb to the city is a closer proximity for the magority of people
It is far closer to Unley than MT Barker for most people
I will use home ground venues of each club as examples using MT BARKER as the guide
ELIZABETH further
WOODVILLE further
GLENELG further
NORWOOD further
PROSPECT further
ALBERTON further
NOARLUNGA dunno need an atlas ????
RICHMOND further
SMAC you say it takes about the same time friday 5-30 to Mt Barker as Elizabeth
Wont deny that
BUT
If you live at Elizabeth[I assume you live out that way ???] whats closer Unley Or Mt barker
I live 4 kilometers east of Thr GRAND NORTH + DAVID HICKS NEW MOTEL
I prefer to go to Unley not 35 minutes further to MT BARKER

MOUNT Barker is likely to host occasional Sturt league matches within a few years but it won't be at the run-down Showgrounds Oval on Alexandrina Road.
