I don't think Kenny has upset anyone at West Lakes

Kenny has missed a lot of footy and most importantly most of the Pre-Season, so he needs to develop a strong fitness base prior to playing at AFL level

I have no doubt he will be playing at CHB for the crows either this week or the following week

In regards to trading Kenny, I can't see it, the Crows do not have a luxury of tall defenders lining up at the club....

I keep saying it, when fit Kenny is very important to the crows structure

Why wasnt he picked late last year and early this year when fully fit????...you refuse to answer this question..

Dutchy, he got injured late last season and by the time he was ready once the finals were on - Bock and Perrie had returned and the Crows were trying to keep at least one part of the structure settled when most of the others were unsettled with players returning from injury. Same fate befell Benny Hart. As it was McLeod and Burton came back after a bunch of time off and, funnily enough, we ran out of legs in the second half of the prelim final. So Kenny was very unlucky and a victim of timing. He hasn't been fit this year.

Once fit he will come back in to the side this season and probably do well

Another factor was Scott Stevens came in to the side in Kenny's absence and was excellent and, as I said in the interests of trying to keep some control over a suddenly very unsettled structure; Perrie, Bock and Stevens kept their spots.

In fairness to what you are saying tho, Kenny's form had dropped off before he was injured and that didn't help his cause either when it came to considering bringing him back ... coming back from injury and a form slump

My understanding was that he played with injury for the need of the club when the other tall options were missing with injury. He really should have been rested earlier (as Burton should now and McLeod should have last year). As hondo71 suggests, he was a victim of timing. He'll be back in Crows colours soon (although selfishly I'd love him to keep on playing for the Eagles).

IIRC correctly McGregor was injured for the first 3-4 weeeks this year with a back complaint (not 100% sure where the injury was) but he was not available for selection

BTW any objections if this goes into teh AFL forum given where the thread is headed....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Not hollow mate WWT colours are at the top of the chimney .
why not tell me who you support ?
And why not put a real name up instead of a line or are you scared to tell everyone who you are.

Back on topic Ken's confidence was down in his first game for WWT since then he has improved greatly .And saturday he took some nice marks in defence and for my mind he may well get a recall shortly perhaps a kenny mac bock swapp  More likely bernie vince coming back.

Ok, a plethora of issues to cover in response here.

What has who I support got to do with this discussion?

My real name?? How is my username different from Constance Perm, Rod rooster, Red and Black, Blue Boy just to name a few. Are they real names? :?

Who did you barrak for the warriors or the Eagles? I guess to half premierships is equal to one.

In 2006 Kenny's first half of the season was very good, there is no disputing prior to his injury he lost form and confidence and Stevens took his opportunity in Kenny's absense.

Let's also remember Kenny regained fitness and was available for selection once the AFL finals had started and Stevens had claimed couple big scalps in Kenny's absense, so for the finals Craigy went with Stevens, at the time I thought it was the wrong call, and today my view is unchanged

assessing the Crows structure, I still believe the Crows lack another big body in defence, in round 1 Stevens got slaughted and man-handled by Lucas, Stevens does not have the body to go with a Big Bodied Power Forward.

Bassett, Craigy has declared his hand, Bassett's won all australian selection playing at HB not as a CHB.

Come September, the Crows may face the Power who may play a forward structure that consist of Lade, Tredrea and White up forward, in order for the Crows to match up against this type of forward structures, Kenny becomes crucial.

Up to the mid-season breakin 2006, Kenny led the AFL comp in contested marks, most of these were taken in the forward 50m, but saying that I also believed he was played out of position due to necessity, and during his career he has played his best footy at CHB.. he has an outstanding record against Pavlich

Lets face it Kenny is a pinch hitting forward at Best, his best position is CHB, so I am confident, playing at CHB his best footy is still in front of him

Come on Aerie you have never objected to me referring to your pair of clubs as Peckers, Torrens, Woodville or any other name I choose to give them. Whats made you get upset now? Did you think about it and go 'yeah its not really the same since we merged, I wonder what it feels like to win on your own'?

Lets remember Lynch was also dropped from the Eagles 2005 finals campaign due to poor form, missed out on the 2005 GF side.

2006, Lynch bounces back and was crucial to the Eagles structure and critical to the teams Premiership success

He's only doing what he said - not giving you a feed. For that matter any 55+ year old can only really know what the whole situation developed into; I know you aren't 55.

I think he'll be back at CHB when he has demonstrated he is going to hold up and is match fit - fairly soon I think.
