I suspect it's all because we have a 9 team comp over 23 rounds. If we expand or contract either the number of teams playing or the length of the season it would work out easier. I expect there's a policy in place regarding how many of the finalists from last season you play. For example it would be pretty rough for West to play Port, Central, Eagles and North 3 times while Glenelg got to play Sturt, South and Norwood twice. The AFL has a rule like that so the SANFl probably does as well.

Would like to know if anyone can come up with an alternate fixture list that doesn't have someweird events like described occuring.

Yes I have.Simple have every team play each other 3 times and that will fix the problem once and for all.

What are you complaining about! North has had 2 byes in the first 7 rounds and this week plays Centrals for the second time before playing Port, Eagles or Glenelg once???

that is one of the most stupid comments i have read. no saafl clubs will enter the sanfl it will be tassie in 3 to 4 years. and if it was a saafl club in that area it would be golden grove kookaburras
