I tipped Sturt to beat Westies looks like Westies cannot close out a game we had chances last week against Norwood and we didn't even finish that game we lost. It is the same old Westies Build up a lead and lose it. Ohh well lets see what next week brings.

Hmmm...I guess they have, but some of the skills were pretty ordinary today certainly up until half time. From Sturt's POV it's always good to get a win and fight back from being behind all day - but we looked bloody ordinary in the first half. Westies fans would be pretty miserable about letting that one slip I would imagine.

A big relief to win that one. It was just one of those games that we couldn't afford to drop, against a side that we'll possibly be fighting for a spot (whether that spot is 8th, 7th or something higher remains to be seen) with at the season's end. Hats off to Westies for making us earn it, looks as though it was a massive struggle, and by a lot of reports coming in Sturt won it thanks to great fitness and a couple of experienced heads keeping things under control when the pressure was on, or when we were looking down the barrel.
I am scratching my head about that game against Norwood, as aside from that we look to really be running our games out this year. Happy to get home this time around, against Westies!

My guess would be the big willy got more touches in the SANFL than Jericho did this week.

Can any West fan explain why Prokepec spent so much of the 2nd half on the bench? (add food joke here!!!)
Sturt struggled to man up on him and ended up with a bloke half his size trying to get him off his game & run off him at every chance. He looked dangerous and stretched our defence only to spend most the 2nd half off the ground. He came back on late so couldn't be injured.

I think he was only off the ground mainly in the last quarter. After a great start, he had been out of the game since the first quarter. Weed shifted Robbie Gray to full-forward at 3/4 time, a successful move as he kicked 2 goals quickly. I think the problem was in the midfield, not up forward.
