But honestly I can't see North losing.

Fairclough out to the AFL guinea pig farm for a week; our current B&F player over the last two years and vital cog McKenzie injured after a long time avoiding them; and then these changes (which hopefully will be Vince into the side) but it will probably be at the expense of either Inkster or Cicolella who will be given more time in the Reserves. Even if either of those two players comes into the side they will be still rusty anyway I feel.

Yeah, I tend to agree, but this Eagles side has surprised me before and if they play at their best, they can win.

Looking forward to a great game tomorrow morning. North have to play better han last week. With PAM losing today, both will hold onto a top 5 place and both should make the fianls. Gonna make sure I get up an extra fifteen minutes earlier this week.

I think either Schwarze or Pavlich will go back to the 2's if Vince comes in.Mind you inkster didnt look that flash after last weeks 2's game IMHO.
Tell me did we go in last week with injuries!!
And if Schwarze plays please play him up forward he looks better up there in the 2's than down back!!

I thought it was a fairly honest performance by both teams today. North were the better team and kept us at arms length all day. Just a few things didn't go right for the Eagles when needed. Biggest turning point of the game was the disallowed mark to Symmons and consequent goal to North Adelaide on the rebound in the 3rd quarter. What would have been a near certain goal to the Eagles and less than a kick the difference, with the Eagles having all the momentum, turned to a 3 goal lead to North and all momentum stopped. We also let ourselves down with a couple of set shots at goal in the third quarter missed and that kick across goal in the final quarter that went out on the full.

Was pleased to see Schwarze put in his best performance of the season up forward. Looks far more comfortable there than in defence. I thought Symmons and Cooper were our best. Stewart was fantastic in defence and good to see him respond with a game like that after last week's poor performance. Hopefully he takes that desire in to every match.

Well done North. Too good and to win a very important game like that shows a quality team. Now for Central next week at Elizabeth - I guess we have nothing to lose and would be the first time in a long time we'd go in to a match as such underdogs.

PS. A few of North's regular underachievers against the Eagles really stood up today. Ryswyk, O'Hara and Alleway all performed very well and Lonie was damaging when it counted as well.

Put club awards in eagles news post with some comments from Ron Fuller.

No reports for WWTFC but think one North player was booked - I didn't see any incident though so may be a North fan can confirm.

It was Wintle that was reported for a high tackle. It was a joke of a report much like the overall umpring display today which I have to admit favoured North in the end.
