And now Peter Fiacchi, yet another key player I highlighted at the start of the year as an out.

I guess they still have to play the match there; a forfeit would look bad.

Looks like Dutschke will be busy. He's been named on the half forward line and on the bench.

I'd predict a crowd of 3500 max. The dogs to win by a big margin 10 goals+ :( . Anything less than this and I'd be reasonably happy. Will make the trip but not expecting to see much of a spectacle. The Eagles increasing injury list causes me great concern.

Over the last four years the Eagles injury list has been of great concern, they must look at the way they train and rehabilitate. Every week there is at least 5-6 first 21 players injured.
Missing for Saturdays game: McKenzie, P & R Fiacchi, Passador, Colville Hall, Salter, Klun and Fairclough (U18). Grocke is also doubtful.

With so many injuries youngsters Cody Hicks and Jarrad Petrenko would have been seriously considered for a league spot but state U18 duties have ruled them out.

Gee I hope it won't be as cold tomorrow night as is expected tonight: -1 tonight at Elizabeth, still probably going to go down to 2-3 degrees. It may be even colder than Noarlunga last week!

If Woodcock umpires the same way as he did the Sturt Port game last week, watch out for the 25m penalties...

A big opportunity tonight to turn our whole season around with an upset win (not that I am at all confident of it!).

No consolation, but it was 9 points better than what you (and I) expected.

Well ... if only I could get back my Saturday night. Freezing cold. Uninspiring football. Could not see because it was too dark and the oval is too big. Probably the most unenjoyable game I've ever been to.

The Eagles weren't that bad and Central weren't that good. That probably paints a pretty sad picture considering we still lost by 51 points and got beaten in every quarter.

The only highlight of the night was watching Grocke bust his gut. Pity everyone doesn't show the aggression he does. Thought Pedler tried hard and played his best game of the season. I couldn't tell the rest of the players from one another. And I thought Norwood's lights were bad.

WTF was the deal with Inkster? Hobbled off at the 25 second mark of the first quarter never to return. And it would have been quicker if he didn't have to come from the other side of the oval and if he could see where he was going.

Next time we play a night match at Elizabeth, I'm staying home with the Mrs and watching Bridget Jones Diary 1 & 2.

Dogs started each of the first and second quarters poorly but finished them well. Six goals up at half time and the game was over.

Eagles played well in patches but couldnt play well enough for long enough. They missed some important shots early in the second quarter that could have put some pressure on. Inkster going down in the first minute didnt help.

James Gowans recovery was incredible i thought he was gone when he hobbled off in the first quarter. But he came back on in the second waurter and played out the game.

Ian Callinan was BOG with Thomas and Cochrane not to far behind.

Callinan and Ware kicked 3 and Havelberg kicked 2.

Centrals 4.1 8.2 10.7 15.10 (100)
Eagles 1.2 2.5 4.6 7.7. (49)

Aerie, if as you say 'The Eagles weren't that bad and Central weren't that good' why did Central double the Eagles score? Should they have quadrupled it if they had played well? As for the cold, how can you blame Central for that? Does the club now have to control the weather too??
Cheers.

For an oval that is pretty identical in size to Woodville Oval, are you criticising your own club's oval too? Football Park also has pretty similar dimensions btw.
Inkster did his hammy. Please try and have sympathy for your own players who get injured. Also, can he control where he gets injured? Will tell him next time to make sure he gets injured near the interchange gate, just for you.
Great support of the SANFL if you put watching a 'chick flick' ahead of watching your team. Is that why the Eagles have an extremely low supporter base?
Cheers.
