See you all at the Adelaide Oval for what promises to be an absorbing clash against the Bays :)

FFS!!!

I vote we all pick one supporter representing each club from all of the site users and start a similar thread about our own clubs.

Better still have forum get together - make it a medieval theme, SP can be the "mutant witch" and he can be burnt at the stake by the collective gathering.

sturtpeter how dare you say something positive on this forum especially about the Blues? What are you thinking?

Be negative especially about Sturt and make sure your positive comments address north, glenelg and norwood - they are the backbone of the sanfl.

I will give you an example

Sturt are not a good team.

north are the greatest team in the sanfl, glenelg are the greatest team in the sanfl, norwood are the greatest team in the sanfl.

Hopefully all of you feel better now.

Geez you are a soppy sook, did you shed a tear when writing this awesome thread SP?

To be honest, when I first opened it I thought it would be about the u/18 SA lads who have been banned by their own side ahead of the state champs for breaking team rules, alcohol was the cause. Allegedly they are from Sturt.

Hey sturtpeter*
(to the tune of Hey St Peter by Flash and the Pan)

Unley playground was cold and lonely
The fans were all old and grey
The Blues arose high on style
Didn't expect to win today
The Old fart Blue sensed the danger
The danger was a Bulldog dill
His post was trite, same old shite
Changed his name and he's back here again

I said hey hey hey sturtpeter
It's time to post a thread
Hung around the cheer squad clown
So I can swing at a head
So I can swing at a head

Tinpot was out of fashion
That Blue loss was years ago
Yesterday post more slime
His wits are rather slow
Tinpots aliases back up his story
Tinpot is a friend of shame
His post was trite, same old shite
Changed his name and he's back here again

I said hey hey hey sturtpeter
It's time to post a thread
Hung around the cheer squad clown
So I can swing at a head
So I can swing at a head

(ROCKIN SOLO)

(SLOW PART)

Hey sturtpeter
Respond to my uninformed yell
I can't forget that old Blue loss
It's time to give you hell
It's time to give you hell

(CRANKED)

I said hey hey hey sturtpeter
Hey hey hey hey hey strutpeter
Hey hey hey hey hey strutpeter
So I can swing at a head
So I can swing at a
............................head

regards,

REB

*apologies to The Flash and the Pan. r

Yes that's true according to a caller to 5AA tonight ....

Under-age Sturt player told not to drink at some social function and promptly went ahead and did it .... the caller's words not mine, I'll stand corrected on any facts left out of the story so far!

Yes, the caller I referred to was ringing because he thought banning them from the state team was a rough call on the lad(s) and might ruin his AFL career. It wasn't clear whether it was Sturt or the State team that imposed the ban.
