I'll back that my knowledge of this issue is as informed as yours any day. It's not just one club that makes these offers to players, as you would well know. When several clubs make an offer and all are told they've signed with another club who has come in late because their offer was 'better', you'd have to be blind not to know what's happened.
Perhaps you're just annoyed that a so-called 'fat, lazy full-forward' kicked 3 and could have had 6 or 7 against you yesterday.I'd also invite you to re-read my posts and your posts and decide who's been posting reasoned argument and who's been posting abuse.
PS: Good to see some of the North boys back at Westies after the game. Also good to catch up with Dean Howard for a chat.
Ha ha - you have to be joking. The fact is he is is overpaid, lazy and he didn't kick 6 or 7 - he only kicked 3. If only....my aunt was my uncle she would have balls. What if all of our behinds point were goals we would have won by more but the fact is they weren't goals but behinds. Pathetic clutching at straws. The fact is he Cupido didn't kick goals that he gets paid big money to kick so does that not sum him up and the way he he plays? If he is the "god like saviour" you guys blow him up to be how come you club is bottom? Even South had the sense to get rid of him. He is way overated and I'm no orphan in thinking that. I doubt any other club would have been stupid enough or desperate enough to grab him this year except West but maybe that was payback for being beaten in late 2005 by South with a better offer for him? $10k more is the figure bandied about re that "deal".
Re-read my posts since the intitial one and you will see that I apologised for my sledge about West and their crowds.
As for your statement about clubs missing out because of a better offer - that happens all the time and clubs like yours (e.g. my previous example with West/South and Cupido) are just having a blind stab in the dark by claiming other clubs must be cheating. I know of 3 examples of players taking less at their present clubs than what they were offered at other clubs: Ryswyk (North / Nwd); Gill (North / Glenelg) and Callinan (CD / Eagles - and in previous years even North) so have you ever thought that they choose their current clubs for other reasons than the clubs allegedly "cheating" to get them. No apparently other reasons wouldn't be in your thought process would they?
Have you ever thought that factors like the professionalism of a club, their most recent ladder positions, off field strength etc might just be factors as to why they signed. For example - How hard a choice would have it been for James Allan to pick North over West, the gulf between the 2 clubs is huge presently.
