11 weeks ago we were last IIRC (prior to Rd 10), is this biggest turn-around in a season to make the finals. In other words has a team ever been last later than us and made the finals??

They weren't bottom in Rd 10 but Norwood's turnaround in 1984 was much more impressive. I remember in about Rd 6 or Rd 7 North and Norwood were playing each other both for the spoon coming into the game with no wins, 5 months later they held up the cup.

Not quite. Here are some notable comebacks from last place since 1945:
West were last in Round 7 2002, and ended up 5th (no wins, and had 14 matches to play)
Norwood were last in Round 11 1994, and ended up 4th. This however is the same amount of rounds to the finals - 14, as this was a 25 round season. (3 wins, and 12 matches to play)
Woodville were last in Round 10 1986, and ended up finishing 4th in the minor round (3 wins with 12 matches to play)
Norwood were last in one round in 1984, Round 3. They entered the 5 in Round 15, and stayed in that position for the rest of the minor round.
Torrens were last in Round 9 1978, and ended up in 5th position. (2 wins with 13 matches to play)
Norwood were last in Round 9 1954, and ended up in 4th position. (2 wins with 9 matches to play)

Eagles dont overly impress me and Sturt are suspect on big grounds.
Don't even need to bother talking about the other team in the finals as the Bays will poo on them.
