Make you own mind up about Sturt: just a couple of facts to take into account - we are the only team to beat centrals this season and are sitting 2nd on the ladder. Sturt that good? Maybe
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

PATHETIC PANTHERS. An embarrassment to their supporters and most importantly themselves. How most of the ex AFL players ever played there god knows. They would be lucky to be any good at reserves level. Only shining light is the reserves at the moment. That shows our depth. At league level the committment, spirit, guts and desire all not there on Saturday. How can they change so rapidly from one week to the next.

I won't get too excited :o until we beat North and the Eagles.

We haven't beaten the Mighty Roosters since April 15 2005.

Get to Unley, support the team we love.

Southee I think you are right. I can't understand some players like Jacques(a real goer), Munkara, Elliott and Hunter are not getting more opportunities. McGrath, Neagle, Smith, Neagle, Clarke, Handby, possibly Wright, till last game should get dropped to find some form. From what I see they mainly chase guernseys belated at that most of the game instead of going and getting the ball being proactive and improvising. Still think Ellis should be there. Pyman do something to fire these blokes up. No ball for a week. Go down the pub go and have a laugh somewhere whatever. They have the ability as we saw last year.

Losing by 110 points sure ain't a remedy for bringing the fun back to your footy Southee. Footy should be really serious for these guys. I think that a Kokoda style trip is what's required. It seems to me (an outsider) that they need to do something that will bring them closer together as a group.

southee your right about losing the fun out of footy. Sometimes no matter what level what sport, even work, family etc you play/do you need to take a step back and think are you actually enjoying or liking what you are doing. Most times the players view will be they love playing but somewhere along the line they have lost there way. It is then time to get back to enjoying your footy. When you enjoy it you will feel better and play better. Also team bonding is much underated as when you go out to war you are more likely to defend and help others if you know more about them and actually like your teamates. This applies to footy as well. Pyes please get these blokes getting the fun back into their footy and I am sure they will produce better more consistent results.

I think Pyman thinks he is still coaching in the AFL. They keep playing the so called AFL recuits but some of the local boys have been playing well. I watched the game on channel 2 and it seemed like there was no team spirit as Sturt had. Can't keep relying on the same players each week to win e.g. Sampson, Kenna, etc. Losing Davey I think was huge lost to the Panthers and Archard has been injuried most of the season. You could see on Saturday that the Sturt boys were playing for the coach and the club not like South at the moment. :-k :-k

BINGO Shin boner!!!
You are correct in saying Sturt had so much team spirit out there last Saturday and it was obvious they are playing for their coach and supporters.
South on the other hand have not been playing like a team unit all year. Im still scratching my head to work out what the difference is in last year to this year.
We lost Davey and Cupido.
We imported "highly regarded" AFL recruits (they are not my words!!)
Off field things have been going well. Exciting things going on a the club.
So what is it?
Team spirit is missing.
I agree, we are being coached and drilled like an AFL team. It dont work.
Some players not wanting to be there?
I know people on this site have a go at Jarman but I actually think he has a good balance as a coach. Serious when he has to be but brings a bit of fun in as well.
Like I said in previous posts, its time to bring in the kids in the ressies and make a stand by dropping the senior players that dont want to play for South Adelaide this year and beyond.
We cant afford to lose kids that are not getting a crack at senior footy. It's happened to many times down at Panther land.
Im quite interested in seeing how the side performs on Saturday. It will test the character of alot of players :?
