With Ben Hollands being omitted from the Westies team makes it so much easier for a Sturt win. I am at a loss to why he has been dropped. And i won't believe that it's a youth policy crap either.

I take my hat off to the West coaching panel for making the hard calls. From an outsiders point of view it would appear there must be an issue with leadership or attitude with Hollands, because you wouldn't drop him for form reasons. Possibly the only criticism I would have if I was a West supporter would be why have they waited this long to start blooding some promising youngsters?

I expect a very competitive West side that will show a lot of enthusiasm tomorrow.

Sturt need to be on from the first bounce or risk getting rolled.

I agree with MST. WE must NOT under-estimate West. The two wins we've had against them were both close affairs.

Chambo has a great record at Broadspectrum Oval, probably better than at any other ground.

Just heard Robbie Gray won't front for Port Adelaide OR West on the weekend. He has a calf injury.

It just doesn't get any easier for the "weed". Already he's in charge of a mob that you can say are no better than a rabble and that's on a good day then he's got to confront one of the form sides of the comp. This one is going to get very ugly. I wouldn't be surprised if it blows out past 100+. Sorry westies supporters but you might as well not bothering to front up for this one.

Personally I think this is going to be a hard one for the Bloods (aren't they all at the moment)

But in saying that we are definitely in with a chance here.

One of our biggest problems is confidence. Confidence in themselves, the coach, the leadership group. Weed & Co can only do so much to help this through the week, it is something that only winning a couple on the trott can fix. I see it week after week, we start off ok then the opposition kick 3 in a row, the heads drop on and off the field (yes I am blaming myself and my mates as supporters here a bit too) and the game is over.

Just look at the last two times we have played Sturt. We hold them or even beat them for half a game or so then they get a run on and we fall apart and get flogged again.

If we can work hard and keep Sturts spurts to only 2 goal runs without an answer we have to be a good chance, but if they get a 3-4 goal run on I guess it will be back to talking about who is going to coach us next year and where we are going to get our recruits from.

So get to the game you Westie boys, wear your colours and yell as hard as you expect our Bloods to play and you may well be surprised

well dont to the bloods on a spirited final quarter. Could easily have beaten us in that game if a few things went their way. Well played.
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

Shocking exhibition from both teams - But at least Westies' last term was the only time either side looked convincing all day. Shame they left it until then, things may have been a whole lot closer.

Two things made the day worthwhile however - The Westies BBQ (yum!) and when that guy at the northern end shoved the ball up his jumper and bolted out the ground!! GOLD
