Credit to you MST for keeping the faith. While I don't know you personally, you've always looked upon things concerning the SFC with a positive attitude.
Will be looking forward to the finals with anticipation but given the modest expectations at the start of the year, I'm not going to Slash my wrists if we don't win the flag.

There are a couple of bare patches at HHO but the ground has been excellent for playing on each time I've seen it lately. Interesting you're making comments based on not having seen it. And Unley oval definitely had a "fecal" (sic) problem a couple of seasons back. Glad to say it's been better in the last couple of years, but you can't deny there was a problem not too long ago. Uness of course, you didn't actually see that ground either!

But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

I gotta agree with ORDB here, credit where it's due ... Prior to the season I thought your confidence might have been inflated loyalty MST, as I thought Sturt were certainly in a rebuilding year, and were my selection for the spoon ... How wrong I was!!

No doubt you copped plenty at the time from the punters for your throughts on ur mob, but there's no question you have well and truly been vindicated regardless of what materialises from here, such has been the meteoric rise of the boys from Unley.

Good form, and I dips me hat to you for your unwavering belief.

I really appreciate the kind words gents, but at the risk of sounding a tad cheesy, I based my pre-season prediction for my beloved Blues on facts and figures.

The quality of our playing list was always going to be good enough to win a fair share of games (Last year was a massive underachievement). Combine this with the fact we did a HUGE pre-season, after looking dreadfully unfit in '06, recruited some excellent young talent (despite them being unknowns to most) and blended this with a great crop of talented, home grown youngsters already at the club and the results are not as surprising, although to be 11-4 has exceeded even the most optimistic!

The challenge is still to be met however, with a tough run up to the finals (WWT, Port, Central, Glenelg & North). Whilst one or two wins will probably be enough to sew up a double chance, I am certain the club will want to head into September with some momentum and confidence. It all starts after the bye with the Eagles at Adelaide. If we can knock them off we will have beaten every side in the competition and Sturt fans will have the right to be pretty confident of finals success.
