With an average home attendance over well over 4,000 Bosvit, Sturt hardly need to play tricks like that my friend.

At Noarlunga on Sunday, particularly if it's wet, we may see the first sub 1,000 attendance at an SANFL game for a very long time.

Cue Spelly........

I hate to agree with you MST  but you could be right but there just may be a bit of interest from a few "peeved off" South supporters to boost the numbers to just over 1K to see how their team responds now Pyman has gone.

I can remember a league game around 1980 (Woodville Vs. South or West? again cue spelly!) at Woodville and it was highlighted on the news that night about the poor crowd and they showed a shot of a player in the main game having to climb the fence to retrieve the ball!

The game you are talking about would probably be in Round 20 1981, when Woodville and South at Woodville had a crowd of 1,839.

Quarter time

South Adelaide 2.2 (14)
West Adelaide 8.4 (52)

Cupido and Hollands have two each for West.

West had more disposals (108-88), contested possessions (33-26) and inside 50s (16-9) that quarter unsurprisingly. South are very flat. They had nine clanger kicks to two that term.

22 mins 3rd qtr

West 15.12 (102)
South 7.11 (53)

Clearly the players don't like playing for Cameron either, shall we get rid of him as well?? :-(

Anyone got a final score?
I wonder who the players and some of the fans or the board will blame this week?
Would have been better off keeping the coach and getting rid of the players and the board.

South 10.14 (74)
West 19.14 (128)
Good win to the bloods need two more to lift off the canvas. but it is a matter if they can do it to start building on next year a few players playing for their careers at West Adelaide.

Not really a big surprise to see Westies win. They've been playing some reasonable footy over the last few weeks...good on 'em.

South Adelaide, what can I say??? An absolute rabble... I've heard on this site for some time that the major issue down at Pantherland was that the players didn't respect Pyman and their on-field attitudes were a result of this. Must be more to it than just the coach... Time for a major cleanout IMHO.

Southee, where are you?????????????????

A great result for West, who looked to have plenty of spark today and worked very hard around the ground to maximise first possession. Thought Marc Dragicevic was that far in front as best afield, it wasn't funny, but Ben Hollands also excellent, Simon McCormick presented a surprise forward target with 3.2. Damian Cupido actually never appeared to have an opponent for much of the day, roaming all around the park, taking a kick-in, then moving through midfield to receive the handball. Clark very good in ruck, as was Jaques all day, winning plenty of taps.

South...well, with all due respect to PhilH for one, looked abysmal at times. A lot of players a long way off the contest, disposal from the centre circle to the top of the forward 50 very, very, haphazard and at times, unenthusiastic. Dale Ellis and Ben Warren presented hard a number of times all day with mixed results (1.2, 3.3 respectively), Clay Sampson tried hard, McGlone racked up possessions as did David Clarke, but just too many times kicks would go straight to an unmarked West player; would be kicked three on one to a South player (Simon Munkara was set a massive task at half forward at one point when a teammate, from a mark in space, passed it to him in a 3 on 1; too much ask for a player that AFL clubs could do a LOT worse than to have a look at, for a rookien list at least); or would just hit the deck.

Hard to read a lot of it for South, but hopefully Weed, the players, R&B, Coorong, WestiesSarge, The Tractor et al really enjoy this one - very well deserved for such effort!

Another proud day for the SAFC....

Credit to Weed and the bloods. The played with plently of run, skill, and passion. Watching the game near the benches it was obvious the amount of talk and encouragement coming from the respective benches was chalk and cheese really.

Cupido proved his worth today after a very quiet game the last time the sides met. Liked young Hartlett.

For south, well, Wright and Sampson tried hard but skills let them down, Munkara continues to impress, Benny warren presented well and really could have bagged a 1/2 dozen.

Possibly the worst display of skills i've seen from a South Adelaide side today. Simply woeful.

You really would have thought after the Pyman decision during the week that the guys would have pulled their fingers out and had a go. It was obvious after 10 minutes that nothing had changed. Cant blame Pyman for this one lads.

As for the crowd, probably 1000, 1200 tops. pretty sparse.

The term "Rabble" seems to be used a lot lately in connection with South Adelaide. Had Pyman have been there today, I still think the result would have been the same.

I hope Kevin Morris was there today, because I would like his thoughts on why we are going down the toilet in most departments.....

14 players were supposed to be unsigned in an attempt to force the club to get rid of Pyman, one place we might then start is identifying who of the 14 has lost their position more than they have won, and giving them an envelope containing their wages for the rest of the year, including match payments for the rounds till the end of the season and parting ways, allowing a player from the reserves to audition for next years side.

Another point that I might as well add would be that genrally the playing group would be fired up about the sacking of the coach because they were angry about it, in this case I think it is pretty clear that the playing group called for the sacking of the coach, so most likely the group was happy about the situation rather than angry!

After all the drama and talk of a players coup against the coach ...

..... and then the players come out and under-perform again

I say that acknowledging I saw none of the game and without taking anything away from Westies who would be stoked with the win

But come on ... if ever there was a chance to pull out a win that was it - change the coach and playing the bottom team
In between signatures .....
