The even worse part of it was the players from the 87 team who had to sit through it, those living interstate who hadn't caught a game for a while must think the SANFL has developed into a joke if North's style of play is anything to go by.

Surely they would have only thought North were a joke, not the entire SANFL?

Yeah, well probably but if its the only SANFL game they've seen for a while and especially after watching the exisite skills from the 87 on video the night before you get my drift.

Prospect 2609
Richmond 1620
Albeton 2725
Elizabeth 3931

Total - 10,885

Considering how perfect the weather was and the way the games shaped up before the match its a pathetic turnout.

Christ, I was wearing shorts yesterday.
No wonder the SANFL concentrates on its AFL teams, for the competition to only get that much considering all factors it shows that perhaps we're flogging a dead horse.

A very rough guess would say that at least 1000 if not more were eagles fans at richmond.Hell I think they counted the players and coaching staff a very small crowd.

Probably not as low as it seems

45500 at AAMI for 7pm game
10880 at SANFL
I would suggest 10000 SANFL only fans at our games as not many can do such a long day of getting family organised to go to afternoon game and then get into traffic bunfight at get to aami - have tea sort out the kids etc.

So if AFL been today or Friday night and the Central v Sturt game not against AFL reckon would have got more than the almost 11000.

League would be pleased to see 56000+ attending footy in Adelaide without counting local leagues.

How stupid is it when the last 3 weeks of the minor round ithas all teams playing on the same day?
At the time of the year when interest in other games would be at its highest and the weather is at its best people don't have the opportunity to go to multliple games like they do when its cold, wet and virtually no interest.

I honestly hope they just pick games out of a hat because if anyone is getting paid to actually put the draw together it would be the biggest waste of money of all times.

Friggin' morons.

Thought there was a good turn out from the Norwood fans yesterday. Very disappointing crowd though.

Same fixture would probably have got 4000 down at the Bay.
For some reason our supporters don't go to Prospect. I'm not sure why as there's a lot to like about the ground and the surrounding area.

You can understand why people don't go when they find a 2m long scratch on the side of their car when they return to it after the game. (apparently this isn't the first time this has happened at Prospect)

PS I thought I would start a new topic on this issue...
