Is Schwartz the guy who kicked a bag against us one game and battled Passa for full forward with the Eagles usually winning more matches with Schwartz up forward, or is it another guy?

thats him wedgie .
recruited as a back man but not up to SANFL back lines .
At FF he could take the pack mark struggled against Port adelaide and Glenelg (I think).was reported a few times for Charging .

Cool, hope its well, would bring a bit of versatility to our key position players if Damon White and he both played in the same side.
Throw in Stewart, Dodman and Alleway up forward and it looks like we just need to fill our fringe spots and perhaps a speedy on baller or two.

just don't forget the Eagles went very tall at some stages and that worked against them in a few matches.

Yeah but Dodman and Stewart can ruck and White can play on the ball or wing and Alleway is pretty versatile too so that won't be an issue.

This year he played in 4 winning matches out of the 12 he played. Passador was in 7 winning matches out of 14 matches he played.

In fact, Schwarze played on the forward line twice in winning matches - Round 11 against South and 13 against Central.

In 2007 Schwarze played 18 matches (15 as a forward). 9 wins, 1 draw and 4 losses resulted in these matches he was a forward. Passador played 12 matches, 7 of those were wins.

I would have thought that behind a ruck-men, North would need a half decent tall defender, not a forward.
IMHO North's weakness has always been defense even in 05,06,07 when North were strong there defense was ordinary at best.
As they say a good defense will always beat a good attack as Central have proved all throughout this decade.

Some very talented BIG's in that 2009 squad plus there is a RUCKMAN signed now Wedgie

BUT : Dodman & Stewart are not without hope of being signed to the AFL, especially Dodman

If I was an AFL club I know which one of those 2 I'd be looking at and it isn't Dodman.

Stewart can play and would be a great pick up,

yes, Nathan Brown has applied for a job back with Melbourne Football Club...youth development role....he did not really enjoy his footy back in the SANFL but could stay on if his other pursuits fail.
Ben Schwarze will be a handy pick up for a good team and a waste of time and money if he goes to a club that is struggling. He came to the Eagles with high expectations but was a major disappointment. He blitzed a few games and would then disappear for the next few weeks...gets the sulks very easy and then blames everyone else including the coach for his poor form. The Eagles coaching staff were frustrated by his ability to fall out of games but he can do some spectacular stuff to keep everyone interested. He was on a pretty big contract and gave little in return, if he played reserves he was usually 'under the weather' come presentation time and he acted immaturely a lot of the time.
He has exactly the type of personality that Ron Fuller does not tolerate and Ron gave up on him halfway during this season. All this being said I was hoping that he would stay on with a refreshed approach but his renewed contract (performance based) left him only one option...move on.

Dash 61, Norths ruckman signed, is it either Luke MeEntee or perhaps Lenny Clarke from West Adelaide. I say this because North did have a dabble with Lenny last season (he wasn't interested then) but he's left Westies now to go 'home'.

jackal well put re Schwarze
And my money re Brown is he will be joining Melbourne as you said and playing for the Melbourne VFL team.
On Norths forum they were saying LUKE will be going to Oval ave and playing with his brother. No idea re the truth in this .And on the forum they said he left North once to play in the vfl so he may not be tied to North Adelaide.

Mickyj, further to Schwarze, he also did himself no favours at the Best and Fairest night recently, photography not his strong point.

I've heard that former Centrals junior and gunn Barossa League full forward (from Tanunda) Alex Kennedy was thinking about giving the SANFL another go and that he had been "talking" to some clubs. Anyone know who the clubs are ???

Unfortunately this is the impression I got too. That right from the start he felt hard-done-by from his AFL delisting. As the start of this season thought he'd turned the corner with a better, team-oriented attitude but didn't last.
Seems strange that after winning a flag with a real team-oriented group for whom playing in the SANFL was a level to aspire to, we recruited someone who thought the AFL was where he should have been, and thus fell into the same trap as West and South have so many times.
Talented footballer, but no great loss to our club IMO.

Good luck to Alex, but he has never really made the cut at Centrals in his two previous stints there. He struggled to keep a spot in the reserves side. Fitness and work rate are not his strongest points and unless this has changed he won't get a SANFL game even at Westies. But his a top bloke and has plenty of natural talent so good luck to the bloke whereever he ends up.
