Why would he not go back to Central Dutchy?

I'm only going on what Kris Grant said in the article.

And yes, I do think he would make the 21 because the opportunity would be there.

Do you think he would be good enough to make the Bays best 21?

If he comes back to SA he WONT be going to any other club than Central - straight from the horses mouth.

He didn't have a great year at VFL but then again, neither did Jordan McMahon last year.

Wasn't he playing in Coburg's 2's in 2010 AND he was runner up in the Bays B&F in 2011 - players can improve Dutchy.

You have changed your story...

Bad comparison, McMahon was a half decent AFL footballer, was always going to be a solid SANFL player, no one can say with any confidence Nason would be a SANFL regular.

He played one game in the Coburg's reserves, first game back from injury.

McMahon had a few more years in the AFL system than Nason - we haven't seen what he might or might not have developed into.
Nason also played in the second semi, IIRC, before he was drafted and was dropped due to some pretty good inclusions for the GF. Kicked a good goal, too. So he can't have been too bad - far from "couldn't make it in the side".
I'm not saying he'll be a star but surely, he can't be written off at SANFL level if he returns.

And the point being that a change in scenery can refresh a player and see improvement, as it seemed to do with McMahon.

Not sure whether he'll be an automatic selection week in week out, he's no Eddie Sansbury. But I'd be very surprised if by the end of the year he wasn't in the main side and should definitely play more league than reserves.

He'd make Glenelg's best 21 fairly easily I'd suggest. But that's hardly surprising when a guy like Alex Grima gets a game.

Big Phil, Nason is no chance of making your best 21, with or without the Gowans playing. He is simply not good enough, u told me last year Adam Varcoe would play league also, i didnt see him play any (i know he was injured early in season). Although Nason would be welcomed back to at Salisbury, i sure we could squeeze him in somewhere ;)

Even with the knowledge he has been in Richmonds system, you'd expect he would come back a better player than when he left.

Adam Varcoe was pretty much injured for 3/4 of the year Beef and in the 4 or 5 reserves games he did play in, he showed signs that he was close to playing league.

If not for his bad luck with injuries, I am confident he would have at least played 1 or 2 league games, as Nason will next year if he does in fact come back to Central.

Yep, that is something Dutchy doesn't seem to think is possible?
