“Crows patron Rob Gerard’s dream of taking the Adelaide Football Club out of the Oval to play in a covered inner-city stadium after the 2026 Commonwealth Games may need to be fulfilled sooner than he imagined.”

It appears $600 mill has been wasted on a 10-12 year stop gap solution like we predicted.

Benny, Benny, Benny.....now listen mate, what has happened is Adelaide have already secured the 2026 Commonwealth Games ( shhh, it's a secret! ) and Mr.Gerard has sold the yacht, secretly devised a plan to build a stadium with roof right near the CBD ( again, shhh ) and the AFC will move there and play home games there after the Comm Games.

This, in turn, will see Port vacating Adelaide Oval and moving back to Footy Park while the Liberal Government bulldoze the Adelaide Oval.

Secret. Squirrel. ;)

Prediction when new city stadium is confirmed to be built.

Booney will again backflip and claim he agreed all along.

Every week Power reserves would have 10-15 AFL listed players in their reserves team. Each would've trained on AO consistently throughout the year, others would've played there multiple times. So in an SANFL final against a traditional SANFL club you'd have Power Res fielding a team with 1/2 - 3/4 of the team having trained regularly on AO and (going on your word), 5 or more having played there numerous times as compared to an SANFL club that have had no access whatsoever.
No finals. No Magarey

The other SANFL clubs have had all year to book the oval and hold a training session. The AFL only use the oval 2 times a week so it's been available 5 times a week for a couple of months.

I think the best way from now on is not respond . I mean if you seriously post about SANFL training at the Adelaide Oval and getting an approval during the season then you are in ga ga land. They back stabbed their way into the competition and they backstabbed their gutless way to Adelaide Oval. They want it all and I predict will end up with bugger all. It's all good now but there is no one to whinge , sook and seek assistance in the future.

All the best.

backstabbed our way into the competition? backstabbed our way to AO?

Why couldn't a SANFL team hire the oval and hold a training session? I'm sure the SANFL wouldn't mind more money to line their pockets.

Oh dear! Gerard and his Liberal mates still dreaming about that new inner city stadium they fought the 2010 election over? Newsflash, they lost. Only chance now for any such thing to even be considered would be if Australia got a World Cup, and that's a hell of a long way off.
