Simple fact is no one will know until the time comes, and the attitude of the player and how the club supports him on his return will be factors too.
Look at the talent Harry Miller had and what he achieved after coming back to Port compared to Phil Raymond. Plenty of other examples of both sides

Nason has been working out at the gym at Centrals, as well as at Salisbury North FC with some old mates, before he was even delisted. Will be at Elizabeth next year, whether he plays majoirty in the league or reserves will definitely depend on what the Gowans boys do, and if Callinan gets a regular gig for the Crows.

Nason also played in the second semi, IIRC, before he was drafted and was dropped due to some pretty good inclusions for the GF. Kicked a good goal, too. So he can't have been too bad - far from "couldn't make it in the side".
I'm not saying he'll be a star but surely, he can't be written off at SANFL level if he returns.

Even with the knowledge he has been in Richmonds system, you'd expect he would come back a better player than when he left.

Yep, that is something Dutchy doesn't seem to think is possible?

Well he wasn't at the Kangaroos now, was he? ;)

I hope Nason does play every league game for Centrals next year. ;)

Ah, now I understand - but hang on, that still doesn't explain the 'obsession' with Eddie Sansbury though? :?

So do I, as he finished 12th in Richmond's B&F in 2010 before having injuries muck up his season this year.
As for Adam Varcoe, he is a darn good player and will definitely play lots of league games for us next year.
Cheers

South Adelaide might have an increased chance of retaining one of their Victorian recruits.

Xavier Gotch's father is moving to Adelaide to take up a position with Port Adelaide in the AFL.

Can't quite work out if that's a good result, or just an example of where Richmond were at lol

The Patriach wrote:So, the SANFL mini draft after trade week will include:

Brent RENOUF (PA, RUCK)
Tom LYNCH (A, KPF/KPD)
Brad COUCH (A, MID) - Full Year SANFL
Josh JENKINS (A, RUCK)

Some decent players up for grabs, along with these players returning:

Brad EBERT (PA - Port Magpies)
Luke BROWN (A - Norwood)
Lewis Johnston (A - North Adelaide)

Clubs however, have lost:

Ivan MARIC (A - Port Magpies - Richmond)
Jack GUNSTON (A - Central District - Hawthorn)
Tony ARMSTRONG (A - North Adelaide - Sydney)

Steve MORRIS (West Adelaide - Richmond)
Terry MILERA (Port Magpies - St Kilda)

A fair bit of movement down to the SANFL compared to the last few years!!!

Add Ben Dowdell (A, Ruck) to this list (rookied at the Crows - NSW Basketballer).

Might be quite a lot of inclusions at the Mini-Draft this season. Would expect quite a few clubs to get two picks.

Not official as yet for Dowdell with the Crows is it? I think they have just said they are seriously looking at him?

As expected, Adelaide delisted more players today with the following getting cut:

James Sellar (Glenelg - local lad)

Myke Cook (South - Vic lad?)

Will Young (Norwood - Vic boy?)

James Craig (North - local lad)

Not sure if official yet, but the Crows have lodged application with the AFL.

This is the same situation that saw Adelaide show some early interest in Jacob Templeton (Central player) but it was deemed that the Division Templeton played in was too low.

Sounds like he is a big lump of a lad, would be a good project player for whatever SANFL club pick him in the mini-draft.
