Never does. Maybe he will this time.

Anyone who tips Borlase to leave Norwood is simply guessing. He has no intention of ever leaving the Redlegs. He's received offers before and knocked them back.

I suppose there is Buckets and Quinno - but I doubt it.

Buckets has never been unhappy and he'll be the lead ruckman now that Scoullar's gone.

And Quinno's got a reasonable profile, but...

he was unahppy. However, if he was unhappy, and left the club mid-season and was going to go elsewhere next season ,why would he return to finish of 2006?

Also, the fact that Stuey Dew may play for the club again next season would make him happy, as they grew up together and are good mates.

Dash, you might want to put a "dash" between the "e" and "s" in resigned, they mean slightly differen things! lol
Out of Ivens own mouth at the North B&F he'll be at North for the rest of his life.
Banger has re-signed for another year too which is great news after his year this year.
There was a rumour about Gatto leaving but he laughed and said he'd definately be back when I talked to him.
Stoked too, very underrated player is Gatts, my fav player.

Crikey, Im a big fan of Luke but does he really warrant 2 positions?

PS If you're going to use 8) in a bracket disable the smilies in the post otherwise it comes out as a emoticon face with sunnies on.

Thinking about it, Rick was last at the Eags and was close to getting the job there or rumoured to getting the job after fuller...so maybe this rumour is centered around the eagles....hmm, food for thought...which eagles players could leave to play for Rick apart from the ones mentioned above??? any eags fans wanna comment?? forget if they are top 10 or not....

serious thought/question...

Heard a rumour

Cooper back to sturt , can't see why after being involved in a premiership

Ones that may be looking for other opportunities

Brad Coles - Fullback/CHalf Back potential tall forward
Vinnie Rugolo
Shattock - although i believe port is his first choice

the cooper one would be easier to beleive than most as i think he and phillips didnt see eye to eye. After his season, id welcome him back as he was very good according to the eags fans. the move seems to have done him the best of good nad if he could carry that on at sturt then that would be sweet.

the coles one i would beleive too as we need that type of player and there are opportunities at sturt for talls. I know the Eags fans werent as impressed with him as he didnt hold down a regular spot.

vinnie, altho he tore us up a few times, i beleive has a few too many issues, i could be wrong on that tho.

shattock...meh

keep em coming guys, about time we had some talk about potential sturt recruits instead of the usual suspects 8)

Sturt would welcome back Cooper, because he's an original Double Blue, but at 29 or 30 years old, you would think he'd be retired by the time Sturt are ready to seriously challenge for the premiership once again. Hope he stays with us!

Sturt can have Coles if they want him. I don't think he has it in him to be a league footballer.

Rugolo I'd be disappointed to see go. Can be a game-breaker and didn't get himself right physically for 2006 after breaking his leg in the finals in 2005. If he can have a good pre-season, he could be one of the better players in the competition.

Shattock was really good for us this year until Port delisted him and his head wasn't right. Had a finals series to forget in both his league and reserves game. I'd like to think he could have a break over the summer and come back refreshed and ready to play some good footy with the Eags. In the same mould as Jamie Tape who played some great footy with us after he finished in the AFL.

Sturt certainly seemed to have turned the corner and are making some noise in the off-season! They'll still be bottom two next year though...

I hope shattock stays as i rate him highly.

I definately think that in the last 4-5 weeks of the season when the PAPS decided to delist him he lost all confidence.

Prior to that i think he had a very good season.

I didn't know Gatto had confirmed he was playing next year, that is excellent news. I was disappointed when i heard he might be going back to Eastern Park. Glad to hear he will be there in 2007, he is a fantastic player.

Then you can also cop the "you must be over the Salary Cap" jibes that come with recruiting- yes, just like all the accusations we've recieved from Sturt supporters...
