I see that Barnaby French said today in the paper he was definately not playing footy in 2007 but hasn't ruled out a return to the SANFL in 2008 and it would more likely be with Sturt.

plus 2 or 3 others also about to sign (not including Sporn in that lot either as he is a cert to return to North if not re-drafted)

Luke Livingstone

Played 15 VFL games last season, and never polled a medal vote. Would certainly help any sides backlines but you would not wanna pay a king's ransom for his services

Don't forget about Koops and a few fringe players also.
I hope we're not getting to get that stupid misaprehension that we had last year when people naturally assumed we had more ins than outs when we didn't.
(hence the promotion of McIntyre, Edwards, Pfeiffer, Millar, etc from the juniors)
Im not sure about Livingston but the other VFL lad we've signed is an absolute gun and will beautifully fill a position we had a deficiency in last year.l

Will he take Alleways spot? Or will this guy spend 10 weeks on the injury list too? ;)

nah, seriously, if north just fill their weaker spots, consistent CHF's, 1 more defender and inside midfielder and they are sitting high up in the top 3.

Im not sure where Livingston plays but we've picked up a pacy quality rover which we've missed for a while, picked up a key backman and Ben Hart.
The X factor is our forward line, if Gill doesn't get picked up we should be OK otherwise we'll be relying on our 2 key forwards that spent most of 06 out injured in Alleway and Weatherley.
McEntee would have been a great 3rd forward but he's gone thanks to Jarman.
Coach could look pretty silly next year if we have no forwards and Hargs is kicking a bag at Port.
I for one wouldn't be too disappointed and would have a chuckle.

The unknowns are the AFL lads coming back like Sporn, Stribling, Davis and one other lad (name eludes me), I may be wrong but none are KPP and it looks like we'll have flankers, ruck rovers, coming out of our backside. I don't think any of them set their respective state leagues on fire in 05 or 06.

Still a lot of unknowns with the draft and it appears because of this club's are holding official singing announcements off.

dont want to get burned again ;)

Agreed tho, id hate it if we announced a signing and then voila, he was taken in the draft. Can be a bit of a waste.

Agreed mate, we learnt that last year prior to the preseason draft when we lost 3 important players on the same day.

Who, Livingston? I know nothing about him, only seen his name announced on here.
In regard to the other one Ive been asked to keep it quiet by the person that informed me but Ive already looked up his details and am very impressed. Not a name I'd heard of before though, hasn't played AFL.
