fudging figures me thinks, either we are getting dodgy figures now or the clubs were given misleading figure beforehand making us think these one are wrong.

there is no way the crowds at Centrals are up from the very few games i have been to this year.

Absolutely. I say the figures are total BS. I have been to all but the Adelaide/Power games and the crowds are way down, you almost know everyone at the game by sight.

Dont forget we are coming off a very low base considering some of the ultra low attendances last year. Even if they are slightly up so far this year, the important point is that they are still at an extremely low level, and you wonder how badly that will affect finances moving forward.

True. In 2010 the Doggies averaged 3143 at Elizabeth. So in 5 years home crowds have fallen about 1000. South, Norwood, West and Glenelg have also seen significant declines over that period.

Crowds of 1534, 1134, 1844, 1071 & 1536, that would have to be an all time low record wouldn't it?
I didn't realise the SANFL would die such a quick death with the admittance of the two AFL reserves side.

Getting close to that magical 1,000 or less fans at SANFL games as predicted by some on this site we are not very far behind the WAFL now.

Thank you SANFL for FAAARRKKING UP our competition !!

But it was wet yesterday chaps and the SANFL has never been played in wet. cold conditions before.

That's the only reason for the decline in attendance. :D

Now the wet weather has hit, the attendances have dropped even further.

Me too. Have wondered whether it's time to shut the whole thing down while there is still a bit of dignity and with a whiff of a one-fingered salute.
Mind you, that dignity is being torn to shreds.
Let the AFL set up four soulless u/18 and u/21 teams and the Crows and Port can have similar to play against

Big Phil and Phil H - Have you had any recent dialogue with the SANFL on the latest crowd figures? Is the question being asked?

Still a better atmosphere at Prospect on Saturday, IMO, than the last SFL game I went to (Flagstaff hill v Christies) had to leave at qtr time due to the dullness.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

There was atmosphere at Prospect?
Never heard the place so quiet and actually completely silent for minutes on end.
SFL has much better atmosphere but there may be a difference from Flagstaff Hill and Christies games to games Ive been to involving Reynella, Morphett Vale, Porties and Noarlunga. Flaggies have always been a quite sterile club.
