Looks like some room is being made in the salary cap for new recruits

plenty to choose from at them moment with all the delistings in the AFL

your joking right

well he shares a house with Ruory Kirkby and Todd Grima, if he stays in SA not surprising where he would end up
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Well the WWT website will need to be changed ASAP then no more on the couch .
Hopefully the club announces more recruits shortly .
A source in victoria dropped me some names of players who may be wishing to leave their current VFL sides haven't seen any clubs name them yet.

That's a surprise. I second your 2nd line; has anyone heard anything more about Skipworth yet?

i dont know much about him but he played 11 games for Richmond

Have seen a bit of action of Tom playing in the VFL, would be pretty handy at SANFL level I reckon...

Is a nippy half forward / on baller type who can kick goals as well...

Also read in today's paper that Norwood are close to signing former Essendon big man Courtney Johns. It has been mentioned on here before but Cortney would be very handy for the Redlegs key position players stock.

Ive not heard anything from any official source BP, but I'd be surprised if the Johns story is correct mate.

Fairy Nuff CP...

This was the quote from the Ben, Bec & Buzz page from today's Sunday Mail...

Sunday Mail's Ben, Bec & Buzz wrote:Johns On Parade

DELISTED ESSENDON player Courtney Johns appears destined for the SANFL next season.
He has met with several clubs, but our mail is on Norwood landing the signature of the 194cm forward.
If he does head to the Parade, he'll join Kieran McGuinness and Gavin Hughes, who will both return to the club in 2009.
Johns played 21 games with Bombers

No worries BP, wasnt doubting they'd mentioned it in the paper, just dont think they're on the money with that one (freely admit I could be wrong, will have to wait and see I guess)

No worries CP, I wasn't doubting that you were doubting it wasn't in the paper, just thought I'd quote for others to see as well...
All good mate, you're right though, only time will tell, we will just have to be patient until after the AFL draft for more SANFL recruit announcements.

IMHO I thought he would have been playing on the wing in 09 in the league. As he offered some pace .But I am just a fan and others with a better eye may know more.Always thought he was a project player like Rimmington.
Seems someone is having a cleanout session at Oval ave .I hope that means we are bringing in some good guys .

And Biagi- apparently he was on a fair bit - with all of our losses over the last few years and only one big recruit in Schwarze - now gone - i don't think the salary cap is the issue - it's whether they are willing to spend the money.

Well it seems to me they are cleaning house, all be it in a small way .So perhaps they have spent some money on the likes of cheep and kenny Mac and perhaps biglands .
But we must get some midfielders with pace .

Westies are busy at Box Hill via the Collins connection....Ryan Breese the latest to be courted there, apparently.
