The ppl commentating the Sturt game were a bit behind in knowing names and characteristics of players. You’d think they’d do some homework first.

I asked rhat question for years, theyve finally got one right Used to love watching VFL games as they used to do the same,
It was a bit offputting getting commentary situated on the oposite side today though.

What would work well is if they had a monitor showing what camera was filming ... they would just about have the whole ground covered.

Works calling the baseball .. we have the National Junior League champs at West Beach right now, called a game this morning from behind home plate, had a monitor showing 180 degree angle from centrefield above pitchers shoulder ..worked a treat.

I suppose PA will do again what they done last year and encourage supporter to the club and watch it on their TV. Totally non supportive of SANFL clubs.

Pretty sure that only happened because the SANFL programmed a Magpies game down there on the same day as a Port Power game from memory. Given a lot of the fans are the same then a bit of a logistical error/oversight by the SANFL.

My bad there, I was thinking the Power game followed it Sunday. Luckily the Port people can still go to Alberton and watch a real club play afterward vs the Giants.

Will the U18 state match against WA on Sunday be shown anywhere? Perhaps on digital.

Eagles v Adelaide (Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval) – 2.40pm
Live broadcast on Channel 7
With all the outs in the Adelaide side is the SANFL promoting itself well enough by making this its televised game. Considering they are paying for it.

With all the AFL State of the Game discussion that is currently occurring and with scoring at an all time low, this is where a robust genuine 2nd Tier competition like the SANFL could have thrived and got more exposure and interest. Instead we are now linked to the AFL competition in every way and get talked about as trialing new rules to save the AFL competition.

Thanks Crows.

There should be a chance for the SANFL to promote this years finals along those lines. The way it is looking it will be 5 SANFL clubs in finals (and throw a blanket over all 5 as to who could win the premiership at this stage). It's also looking likely there will be no Crows (and Port unlikely to go deep in finals).

Hopefully the SANFL has a separate marketing campaign for the finals along those lines instead of moping about because there is no AFL involvement at either level in September.

Two SANFL games on Channel 7 this weekend is that right?

TV guide says Norwood vs Glenelg on Sat and Port vs Sturt on Sunday.
