Sounds like Sam Gordon might be one and is at North.

Cam Hitchcock and Richard Newell (ex Westies/Brisbane) have signed with South. Cam De Visser also returns.

Can any Bloods supporters shed any light on Newell as a player?

IMO Newell has good pace and endurance but lacks a bit of football ability. Played mostly reserves and when did play league didn't set the world on fire.
South seemed to have got more out of Rankine so hopefully for their sake they can get a bit more out of Newell. Wish him the best

MEDIA RELEASE

Panthers Pounce on Trio of New Signings

South Adelaide Football Club are pleased to announce the signings of forward/utility Cameron Hitchcock, midfielder Richard Newell and defender Cameron De Visser for the 2016 IGA SANFL Season.

Hitchcock, 25, is an elusive goal sneak with experience at AFL and SANFL level after stops at Port Adelaide Power, Glenelg and Port Adelaide Magpies.

Senior Coach Brad Gotch is excited by the addition of Hitchcock having coached him during his time with the Power.

“Cam is an exciting small forward with great pace, agility and elusiveness, who had a tough run with injuries during his time in the AFL system,” said Gotch.

“Losing Brent Macleod we needed another goal option and Cam adds a bit of speed, pressure and class to our forward line.
“He’s keen to play at a high standard of footy after a year playing in the country and we’re excited to see what he can do for us in 2016.”

Newell is a 22-year-old elite runner, who also brings AFL and SANFL experience to the Panthers, having spent three years on Brisbane Lions rookie list before playing the last two seasons with West Adelaide.

“Richard has a really big engine and we think he’ll be able to excel on our big ground,” said Gotch.

“He was starved a bit for opportunity the past couple of years at West because of their depth, but we think we can play him in a variety of roles

“He is also an impressive young man to talk to. A good character that we think will fit in really well with our current playing group, work really hard and push others with his fitness.”

Former Panther Cameron De Visser also returns to Noarlunga after one season playing alongside Hitchcock with Ironbank in the Hills Football League.

“I coached Cam during my first year at South (2014) and he was really stiff to miss out on playing League towards the end of the year,” said Gotch.

“He was really strong for us in the Reserves, but got injured before he could really crack the League side.

“Cam’s a very versatile player who is also another great character guy that is always continuing to learn.”

South Adelaide are still in ongoing discussions with several players and are hopeful of making further announcements following the AFL Pre-Season and Rookie Drafts.

Glenelg’s collection of former Port Magpies has increased by two with the addition of promising midfielders Ben Sawford and Jack Haarsma.

Seeking greater opportunity at League level after displaying encouraging signs throughout season 2015, Sawford and Haarsma will add valuable depth to the Bays’ midfield rotation.

Speaking on SANFL Radio, Glenelg coach Matt Lokan said the pair impressed him in the club’s nail-biting loss to the Magpies in Round 17 this year.

On that night, Haarsma booted the winning goal while collecting 19 disposals as Sawford racked up 40 possessions, 14 clearances, nine inside 50s and four goals.

They join Lokan, Terry Milera, Jake Johansen, Ben Nason and fellow recruit Luke Harder in starting their career at Alberton before heading to Brighton Road.

Lokan also confirmed the signings of country football stars Jack Kenny (midfield) and Matt Merrett (half-back) who will seek to kick-start their SANFL careers at Tigerland.

Pre-season training is set to begin with a gruelling time-trial on Saturday, with only a handful of Tigers restricted by injury.

Long-term knee victims Lonnie Hampton and Tim Sullivan are still recovering from conventional reconstructions while Hayden Jolly has undergone minor surgery on his ankle.

Former Carlton utility Pat McCarthy will be eased back into training as he continues to manage ongoing groin soreness.

Hopefully Sawf can become a regular in the Bays league side, he's definitely good enough. Too good just to play reserves where he kills it.

Exactly, there was no chance of him being rookie listed by Port.
