MEDIA RELEASE

Jarman set to make his mark at Glenelg


Former North Adelaide and Perth Coach, Andrew Jarman, has been
appointed to the full time position as Senior Coach of the Glenelg
Football Club for the next three years.

Andrew was appointed by the
Glenelg Football Club Board of Directors, following the strong
recommendation by the highly credentialed Selection Committee,
established to ensure the best possible coach was appointed to steer the
club forward.

The selection committee undertook a comprehensive
selection process in which Football Director Justin Scripps, Shaun Rehn, Nick Chigwidden,
Chief Executive Officer Rob Nelson and President Gary Metcalf, were
unanimous that Jarman was the man to coach the Club in 2012 and beyond,
with a focus of recognizing and developing our young list and
maximizing their potential.

With proven success at the helm with North Adelaide during the mid 2000s Jarman's football achievements extend past
his coaching feats. Jarman is a duel Magarey Medallist and All-Australian, Inducted into the SANFL Hall of Fame in 2007, an inaugural member of the Adelaide Crows and played in 15 State of Origin Games
for South Australia.

Jarman's playing career includes 110 games
with Adelaide, 136 games with North Adelaide and 38 games with Norwood.

Jarman's wealth of football experience
at both AFL and SANFL levels, combined with his general knowledge of the game gives
the Glenelg Football Club great excitement and positiveness for the
immediate and future direction.

Wiaiting, like all of us re next season, to see who takes the league, as they will have a say whether he stays I guess

Not on the Glenelg website and not enough reference to Metcalf to be a real Glenelg FC release.

While Jarman had his moments of fire on the field, not sure that he was having a "duel" with his Magarey Medals either.

Oh its probably not legit but with the reaction Ive already seen from a Glenelg fan at work it doesnt matter. Hes just rang up the club abusing the person on the phone who knew nothing!

if its true excellent will make the games more entertaining and a lot more profile to SANFL.

I wonder how many weeks its for and who takes over later in the season ? :D

Would be hillarious if its a ploy to make the Bays fans happier that Massie or someone else is appointed as that would make the club look even worse than actually appointing Jarman!

Glenelg supporter at work continues to implode. Just cut his membership in half .
Mind you it doesnt have quite the same impact when its for the season that just finished!
If it gets out as to who started this rumour I want to personally buy them quite a few beers for the entertainment I'm currently receiving! :lol:

I doubt a Bay fan could do this to their own. :lol:
