Psyber has a point though, when the clubs (Adelaide in particular, and also Port) started up, they took the majority of their players (almost 100%) from the SANFL, then recruited through the draft etc subsequently.

GWW, I thought the proportion from the SANFL was much nearer 70-80% but I could be wrong (as usual!)
