There are two of S. Doyle?

No, the one possibly heading to Central was on Sydney's rookie list last year. Has appeared at Central training sessions.

Must be Earl Shaw. Look out! with Doyle now going to Norwood, North are probably stalking him.

Also, there are two 'sort-of' recruits in Luke Cowan and Nathan Steinberner playing next year.
One of the Grima's is also expected to sign.

Mind you the power are looking at the other Grima and let me assure you if he is drafted, Centrals wont get him at pick 9 and Id suggest he will go pick one in the local draft

Perth would have to get a 3rd team before Adelaide. Port Power representing the entire northern suburbs would be a better way to go if they want two strong off-field teams in SA. I can't ever see Adelaide holding more than 2 AFL teams.

I think the West Coast Eagles have cooked the goose in relation to WA getting a third team.

G, wouldn't it be great if an eighteenth licence was granted to a combined North/Central/Eagles combination? I can't think of anyone more worthy at the moment.

Now that might be supportable if say Port and West share the Power and Norwood, Sturt, South, and Glenelg owned the Crows.

Logistically, the Eagles may have to go with Port and West. But in truth to build a third viable team in Adelaide would require more good players than exist in the present SANFL. I really think 16 teams is already too many in the AFL.

Psyber, neither the Crows nor the Power were made entirely of players from the SANFL. A significant number of both squads came from outside the state.

Psyber has a point though, when the clubs (Adelaide in particular, and also Port) started up, they took the majority of their players (almost 100%) from the SANFL, then recruited through the draft etc subsequently.

Will be interesting with Grima if picked up by the power. Does signing subject to AFL draft count him as a Centrals player?

Anyway, heard tonight a big-name former AFL player, former Carlton and St Kilda forward has agreed to play with the bulldogs.

Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

GWW, I thought the proportion from the SANFL was much nearer 70-80% but I could be wrong (as usual!) :)

Its going back a while ago now so its a bit hard to remember. I think the Crows took all SANFL players PLUS players like Lindner who had player in the SANFL previously. McGuinness as well.

Port took a lot from the SANFL as well, but i think they took some like Downsborough and Heaver through various recruiting arrangements.
