Skill errors are generally produced by physical pressure applied by the opposition, in many cases despite what has been stated in previous posts, yesterday Port did have an opposition who applied quite a bit of pressure. Hargeaves is either red hot or ice cold and not much in between, yesterday he was ice cold.Port surely must have known this when they recruited him.
If you take Krakour and Maric out of the Port side and I think they will shortly get a call from their respective afl teams, I think Port may struggle.
"South are a team of scrubbers", as an intellectual giant enlightened me yesterday, and they may or may not win many more games this year. But I can assure you that unlike last year ,to beat South this year you will have to get your head over the ball and play well for 4 quarters whoever you are.

Were you in the bowling club Fatal?

One bloke in there gave Hargs a massive serve. After Hargs had spent some time on the pine in the third 1/4 the bloke gave him a massive spray and Hargs returned fire with 'the bird' .....one from front on the other from over his shoulder.

ha ha, good on him, surprised he doesn't do it more often with some of the mindless fickle supporters down there.
Perhaps the supporter should be giving the club a spray that gave him a 2 year contract money up front especially when some players have to wait for the Annual Auction night to get paid!
Smart man that Hargs.

Yep. It was that incident. I know the guy and he's a passionate fan and regular attendee who is just fed up with our lack of forward firepower. A few of us pointed out one or two other names who deserved that title far more than Hargs though.

Personally I still think Hargs was a solid enogh piece of recruiting, he definitely had something to offer. In the handful of games when we've had both him and Waterhouse in the team we have done well (eg. Eagles in early 2007 at Woodville), but games like yesterday and the Sturt game at Unley last season make if hard for the "believers" to back him up against criticism like that.

He had a very dirty day.

To lose that game would have been absolutely deflating. Good thing we didnt :D

Couldnt be prouder of the guys today. The spirit and teamwork is 100% on last year.

I lost count of the number of times port fans would yell "C'mon port, it's only south" Arrogance :D :D :D

I have heard the same comments. (for many years too!) Just goes to show the mentality of some supporters and would probably flow through to the players too.
Pure arrogance
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

I had to laugh when a Port supporter resorted to jibes about Centrelink.

A top win from the lads.We had the game pretty well won in the last few minutes and then almost let it slip.
Youngsters like Andy Otten, James Boyd and James Turner are getting better every week.Still a long way to go but the effort being applied is 100 percent.
I am extremely stoked with our start to the season, and hope we can continue being very competetive.Craig Parry is back this week so we have a recognised ruckmen! you buety!!
BY the way some of the Port fans at Albrton were getting very cranky, and seem to think the only team that exists is Port Adelaide!I know when your team gets done you dont feel to chirpy, but for heavens sake grow up!! As a south supporter I have endured many a loss over the years, and I was cheering pretty loud on saturday, much to the disgust of some of the port fans.
Just confirmed my thoughts on Alberton oval and it weekend inhabitants, painfull!!!!!
