joelie wrote:"Worrying times for Bays supporters".. Wedgie... you gotta be ***ing kidding me. Top of the ladder... 10 & 1... a massive win v Doggies last week... lost Fisher pre game.. lost Roo then Murph.... 4 points down kicking into a massive breeze last qtr.. yet had the balls to WILL themselves across the line. Didn't play well no doubt but it takes all sorts of qualities to get across the line... today it was guts and TEAM spirit. Dug deep.

AT NO STAGE am I suggesting that Sturt weren't up against it with injuries and the loss of AFL players. But to suggest we should be concerned... is a ridiculous statement. ONE loss hurts no-one.

If you're looking at winning the flag I think you should be, if you're looking at just getting near the mark then I agree you have no worry, the Bays should have won by 40+ today if they were a serious flag threat IMHO. Im not so sure why people get so upset about an honest appraisal. :?

Anyway, apparantley there were more than 11k there today (massive effort from 2 clubs that struggled to draw crowds not too long in the past) and Im very interested in what it was like to be there today atmosphere as that hasn't been encountered at a stand alone SANFL game since the late 90s, haven't had one real insight yet but am dying for one, come on Sturt and Glenelg fans, get your journalistic skills together and inspire us, PLEASE!
AT the very least, where's some pics? We've already had 2 people put up pics from a crap game at Alberton, surely someone could put up some pics from the game of the season between Glenelg and Sturt's reserves side?

so if a Glenelg AFL listed player kicks the winning goal in the grand final does that mean you dont win the flag?

we dont need afl listed players mate, if you do, your dont deserve to be there

Cool. I hope The Bays wont be selecting any AFL players if they're available come finals time.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Port players don't count as they're so ordinary. Even Marlon Motlop can't get a game for a poor North side yet still was in Port's AFL squad today!

Had their chances in the fourth. No less than four plum chances for goal were fluffed, resulting in 0.2. Bays won with some guts - but not without a hefty dose of luck. Credit to the Blues for taking it up to the Bays with a third of their regular starters out; they have my respect.

A game with both at full strength? Like the match at Unley earlier this year? 8)

Any other week and the Blues would have had a 6-8 goal better side.
Worrying times for Bays supporters.
Morale victors today was easily Sturt.
Wouldn't suprise me to see Glenelg start sliding after an effort like that today.

I see the Bays are drawn to play the Roosters next week

No need to turn on our own Dutchy. Has been part of the side for the majority of the year that has got to 10 & 1.

And its been moved to a Sunday to assist the away team too. Sturt at full strength beat us by 106 points so Im tipping Glenelg by about 70 points as a full strength Sturt is about 6 goals better than a full strength Glenelg at this stage of the year IMHO. They might prove me wrong though.

Turn on our own? Huh? I was stating that we only have 1 AFL player in our team, and IMO he is in our bottom 2-3 and could be struggling to hold his place...opinion...Im allowed to have one...

Criticism from Sturt and North supporters. Wow

Strut lost to us today= Glenelg's bitches
North lost to port today are also Glenelg's bitches

Only 3 sides, Glenelg, Strut, Centrals, at the moment look like they have a chance for the flag.
And any could win on their day.

October is a long way away.
