I think, and Spelly might correct me, we were battling for those spoons with the "Dashing and Gays...". Anyway history shows us the Bays can only beat the Roosters in GF's (Post WWII that is) so Dogs and Blues supporters must be licking their lips 'cause my beloved Roosters wont be anywhere near that 1st weekend in October. History is a strong influence in Footy and some Bay supporters would do well to remember that. 1986 was a long time ago and windows can slam shut pretty quickly.

Talk bout throwing a spanner in the bandwagon :D

This really was a ridiculously pathetic "topic" written by at the time an obviously bitter and grieving cock.

I cant believe it has lasted this long. The Bays are DEFINITELY a premiership threat. As are the Dogs, Blues and to some extent the Eagles (IMHO). I am yet to come across one Glenelg supporter who thinks they are on their way to a Granny... let alone a premiership. Anyone that does think that has not obviously suffered the disappointments we have over the years. They have obviously not turned up to footy park GF day with high hopes only to feel the pain of defeat when sometimes favorites for the flag (and not just once or twice). They have not felt the pain of going week in week out in recent years to see your side get flogged and sometimes be happy to kick 8+ goals (even as recently as rounds 1 to 7 last year!). SO I for one have no disillusioned aspirations over where my side is at. Certainly I am enjoying the season... certainly winning is something we should be allowed to enjoy (as I am sure you cocks can remember back to what winning felt like....). We are enjoying the workmanlike nature of our sides performance. We are currently pleased to have our better players down on form yet still get through on other very vital ingredients like G & D (not things in the past attributed to a Glenelg winning performance). So... for now I am enjoying it... well aware that next week it could and may all go pear shaped.
