99% of North supporters didnt give us a chance this week, we were just hoping for an honest performance, and to show a bit of guts. We did that today and somehow we stormed home with an awesome last term. Fanbloodytastic win today Cocks!!

sounds like to me that the rooster suppoorters should put more faith in the clubs depth, all week we have listen to doom and gloom from roosters supporters because some big name recruits were out but given that the cocks won the reserves, u19 and u17 flags last year maybe the club and the supoorters needs to show more faith and belief in these players and not just the recruits

Could be right sydney-dog. Couple of young guys were great today. Pfeiffer and McEntyre repaid the faith shown in them. Given extremely tough jobs but kept trying all day. Pfeiffers last term was outstanding.

from an outsider looking in I just think the NAFC needs to be very careful about it's recruiting strategy over the next couple of years, obviously the club had fantastic success last year in the other grades, the club needs to ensure it's not blocking the pathway of good young talent by over recruiting.....

Today's result shows that the club has some good kids coming through, if the club blocks their progess they will leave, it's no different to the corporate world, if organisations keep recruiting externally at the expense of young talent at the company, you eventually lose these talented employees.........

I have always said, when you recruit, you recruit talent but you don't always get desire, talent alone wont win you a flag, desire will, and desire comes from the players who have come through the clubs system, in the dogs Premiership years they still avaerage 16 players in the side that had come from the local area.

Very good point sydney-dog. Need to find the right balance i guess. A few guys got their chance this week and took it by the scruff of the neck. Not just in the league but with players out of the league there are also guys given an oppourtunity in the 2's and they won by 10 goals

Anyway it was great win today and the 21 blokes who playeed for North should be extremely proud as i can assure them that all North supporters are proud of them.

mate enjoy the win, the best wins are those when your the underdog and hopefully some of the North supporters who jumped off during the week will show a bit more faith and belief in the kids at the club, remember you did win all three lower grades last year

Thanks a million North, Port are going to be very inviting at Scumberton Oval next week coming off a loss.....

If our boys turn up with the same attitude they showed against Centrals well Port will be looking at loss #2...

Once again as I have said ad **** nauseum all year, just looking for a four quarter effort of busting a gut and disciplined footy. If we do that the scoreboard will take care of itself....

Our players will do well next week to remember the words of a wise man from about 60 years ago:

Finally, we concede there can be honour in defeat, but to each of us, honourable defeat of our club and our guernsey can come only after human endeavour on the playing field is completely exhausted

Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

What a game, its taken me a while to post the pics, in retrospect I don't think I'll make a full analysis of this game until tomorrow.
I was soooooooooooooo proud of the lads today, one of the best wins EVER since I've been following North and that's a big statement.

For those trying to put some negatives against North or their supporters on this win, do bother, it won't work, we'll be smiling like pigs in mud for many a day over this one, truly one of the great against the odds pure guts gritty victories that I've ever seen EVER!

So Damn Proud and Happy!
I'm going to watch this game over and over and over again tonigth till I fall asleep and that will be with a huge smile on my face.

It's a great grat club, its the club we love, we're the good old red and whites.........................

Football is a great game because when you least expect it - over it comes and bites you on the arse?

I am not going to be negative or be bagging anyone this week because today was great day, big crowd etc and a great game played by 2 good teams but shit did I get a suprise! Great effort North and, "Mr. Credibility" you can start to make your way back to Prospect ever so slowly.

There is still a long way to go til the finals and given how even the comp is I'm am reluctant to make any predictions still.

Premiership favourites as mentioned on other forums and NOT by North supporters! - Until someone beats the dogs (and we seem to fail miserably) then who else can it be but the dogs?

Exactly, absolutely ridiculous statement, the Dogs are and proved last week they're still a way way way way better side than us, some people/sites have no idea.
