Well done on a great career Ron. To coach a team to 8 finals series from 9 seasons and 4 grand finals is a fantastic effort. I have been critical at times but a very well deserved congratulations to the man is needed - the longest serving and most succesful coach in our club's history.

His 200th game as senior league coach will be August 15th v South @ Thebarton

Having a flick through the records books to find other coaches who have been at the same club 9 seasons in a row.
Only 6 others in SANFL history have done this ( 3 of those 6 have done it multiple times).

Central - None (Roy in 7th season currently)

Glenelg - Neil Kerley 10 seasons 1967-76

North - Mick Nunan 12 seasons 1981-92

Norwood - Jack Oatey 12 seasons 1945-56, Neil Balme 11 seasons 1980-1990

Port - Fos Williams 9 1950-58 & 12 1962-73, Jack Cahill 9 1974-1982 & 9 1988-1996

South - None (H Bunton 8 1975-82)

Sturt - Jack Oatey 21 1962-1982

West, Woodville & West Torrens - None

Well done Ron...cant add too much more than what has already been said, other than probably picked a good time to announce it..during the bye week when it will get a bit of coverage but wont get in the way of the preperation for a game.
Trust the process.

I still remember a teenage Ron Fuller playing centre for Flinders Park in the SAFA. I notice an earlier post stated he played for West Perth first, but I always thought he went straight from Flinders Park into league football with Woodville. Maybe the journo types on this forum can find out for us?

Mark Jeffries is the man for the job.
Not sure Andrew Rogers has any backers down there
anymore. Shane Reardon will apply.

I'm not 100% sure, but isn't Shane living interstate for work and flies over on weekends for the games ???

He may apply for the gig in a bid to get back to Adelaide full time, as a handy side note...

McGuiness???

Jarman will be looking at the Norwood job surely.

As an Eagles fan I am glad to read the CEO's comments in todays paper about people want to coach the Club. Chalk and cheese the handling of the situations between Norwood and the Eagles.........

Wayne Jeffries as an assistant coach - surely you jest!

Will he be able to retain his NAFC Board position at the same time but knowing what a complete buffoon our President is then it could actually happen! But only after he gets good old Rob Gerard's blessing and that of the two "puppet masters" at North.

I hope they don't give it to an ex-Centrals player. Its very hard to put shit on one of our own and my options are quickly diminishing in that area with Jaman gone and Ronnie going

Thanks to Ron Fuller for what will be over 200 games at the league coaching helm.
Do not forget that he also guided the under 17 to 3 straight Premierships, 1998 to 2000. Just the number of juniors that have been given their chance over the years and some who also went on to gain AFL careers is testament to his undoubted ability to identify talent.
Ron debuted for Woodville in 1979 (10 league games that year) then went to WA in 1980 and 1981 and returned to Woodville in 1982
Verschrikkelyk!!
