I jotted down somethng in relation to that from the Advertiser from 21/8/1982:

"Two areas are being investigated as possible sites for new home grounds for the West Torrens and South Adelaide league football clubs. West Torrens is the triangular area created by Golden Grove, Hancock and Yatala Vale roads. South Adelaide is to the left of Colonnades."

Yeah a bloke who I did my M Sc with actually played U/17s with West Torrens, he came from Campbletown. You think if they had done that they might have survived to this day.

However given that the SANFL brought Woodville in to curb Port's dominance you might think that the SANFL wouldn't have been to keen for that to occur, not to mention North Adelaide and Norwood who would have lost part of their zones......
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
