it would be churlish of me to suggest that crowd numbers are a lot lower at Noarlunga, than any other ground, so I won't.
I will say that the SA BBQ is a lot more organised than NA's.

haha funny you say that i was actually gonna say that myself ... sunday footy at Noarlunga on a wet and windy day down there when ya have had one or two wins for the year doesnt really pull capacity crowds does it !!!

I was just trying to think of any ground that is comparable to Prospect and the only one I can think of is Alberton when it comes to ordinary catering but at least they have the fact they're broke to use an excuse unlike North.

Hopefully catering for us BBQ & hot pie lovers forms part of the Prospect Oval Improvement Plans !!

The problem is they're very slow and IMHO would fail an inspection for hygeine.
As much as the club would be reluctant to do it, they need to move them on.
If I 3 manned that BBQ with a couple of others I could pump out 5 times as many snags at probably an improved quality.
I love a good BBQ and was keen for one on Saturday but didn't even attempt it when I saw how long the line was and how slow it was moving and that was half time of the ressies! Got a crappy pastie that was too hot!

Should start doing what a couple of the groggies do and have lunch at Cafe Cena before walking down to Prossy.

I always look forward to the Prospect Oval BBQ ... just dont look forward to the time it takes to get served....individually wrapping everything doesnt help the queue either (assuming they still do that..think I missed out last year due to the length of the line :( )
Trust the process.

don't get me started!! Great facility on the hill but terrible wait during the game breaks. Long line They don't put your sausage on the BBQ until you order it so you wait 10min for it to cook!!

The Windmill does a good meal......had a few lunches there prior to a 'Dogs win at Prospect......isn't too far down the road either. Surely the club puts on a decent meal ?

solution, be healthy, stick to a proper diet, eat at lunch before the game, then tea back in the club or at home at tea time. stop whining about insignificant crap like "catering" at the footy!

Interestingly SANFL as part of its West End Club of The Year points ranked the "game day experience" at each SANFL club.

In 2009
South were rated best with 8 points
A lot on 7.5 points
North 6.5
Sturt 6.0

I think the league does an audit of a home game at each club but I am not sure what the criteria is or how it is weighted.

I noticed last weekend the letters made a comeback in the Budget, and each game has a different colour.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

No "around the grounds" scores at Unley a few weeks back I noticed when I was there. Disappointing.

The SAFC Scoreboard had the progress scores showing with the club names on the weekend.
(lucky cos I didnt have a budget)

The Port V Sturt score definately got the crowd interested each time it was updated 8)

Unley had the updated scores from the other games on the board last Sat,albeit in abbreviated form i.e. showing the points total only for each team, due to the fact that they have installed a digital time clock on the scoreboard and have limited space left. But at least it was there and we appreciated it :)
