Neither Glenelg or South are as good as Norwood from what i have seen of the 3 teams.

I'll have to disagree after seeing Glenelg 90 points in front of Norwood at half time about 4 weeks ago.

but the Legs beat the side that 7 days ago played "the best SANFL footy for 10 years" A week is a long time in footy, 10 years is even longer....

Amen mate, the style of footy played 7 days ago at Alberton was the best seen for 10 years by a neutral judge, as we all know footy is a funny game and club's rarely keep up that sort of standard.
Give me a 72 win over the Pies at Alberton and a 6 point loss to Norwood any year though.

Brett Zorzi what a brilliant performance. If that doesn't get the 3 votes I don't know what will...

when North made a late run I found myself hoping for a draw rather than a win as I didn't think we deserved to win.

are you human?

cant you remember when you were shit and wished and hoped for wins???

i know what you mean but still not hoping for a win is a bit ******* weird....

A game against north at adelaide back in 98 was similar to this...we didnt deserve to win, played shit all day but still got up...i knew we didnt deserve but i sure wasnt hoping we drew or lost it to spite us...

I agree with that Jimmy. I remember that game at Adelaide. Raining all day, i refused to move. Despite having and umbrella i got soaking wet. Sturt won after North led all day. I destroyed that umbrella on the seats in front of me when the final siren went.

Mate of course I'm human, not being human would be flying overseas and not supporting my club week in week out, I would find that inhuman, but that's just me.

Jimmy, North did not deserve to win yesterday, but the umpiring was a bad as North were in 2003, and that was the worst year in the clubs history.

Fav's for the GF, not yet, perhaps they will be if they can beat the Eagles and Dogs in the next 5 weeks, if not the fav. would have to be the Eagles.

i was with the old man and there was this sturt fan next to us, saying all thru the day, "we dont deserve it, we dont deserve it" and he was so pissed off at the end of the day...me and dad were just shaking our heads...hell, i was only just getting used to the idea that we even had a chance at winning games then...let alone anything else...ill take the 2 points no matter what...but sturt did play ******* terrible that day.

yep, crucial games against those 2 sides...come out with a win in 2 of them and things will look rosy but 1 loss will linger doubts. However, finals are another story and i cant see you guys missing the double chance this year...that just might be what you need to play in the big one.

Grow up RM. If you can't handle the fact that people will not have the same opinion as you then you shouldn't be on a forum.

Never said it did have anything to do with me mate, some of us obviously just put higher priorities on our footy clubs.

I did use common sense mate, but you quote Centurion and then say "as your other fans have said".

So you quote a Central fan, tell Rooster fans to stop blaming the umpiring and then proceed to say that "as your other fans have said, looks like you got done by a better side, playing better footy..."
Makes no sense to me.

Mate, there's a big difference between common sense and no sense and your post my friend makes no sense.

I can't believe any North supporters can blame the umpiring one little bit? Seriously Norwood were cleaner in the conditions, played with a much better intensity and their 3 smaller key defenders absolutely towelled up North's much vaunted forward line. How blokes like Hargraves and Perrie cannot adjust their games (Like playing a little more in front when you have height advantage?) when they were clearly beaten was systematic of North's attitude yesterday.

Still take nothing away from Norwood - they were clearly the better side all day and had they kicked straight it would have been over alot earlier.

Let's hope North bring "their game" next week?

Amen, I said it at the game, every Norwood player be they in defence or attack played in front for at least 3 quarters yesterday.
I have no issue with the umpires giving 50/50 decisions to the man in front, surely North should have woken up to it and played in front themselves, well maybe they did but too late.

IMHO Norwood were a 6 goal better side yesterday.

Quality posts and attitude Drebin and Wedgie. I'm not sure about any six goal advantage yesterday though..true, I wasn't as close to the action as you blokes but throughout that second half it seemed North were very much on top and I could almost sense the doubt in the Redlegs. Perrie started to get his hands on the pill in the second half and Gill came on late and grabbed some key marks. What happened to him? Was he injured?

If the Legs can make the five this season I will try and get down to the Oval as I miss my SANFL. I would love to have a beer or three with Booney and watch the Legs boot Port out of the finals....but we've got to get there first!

Cheers,
