Worst offender - Norwood (historically the worst).

You have to be kidding - South, West and Eagles easily the worst travelling support mind you they don't have a great home attendence either?

North have the best representation at Alberton, even with traffic issues ;) , Glenelg and surprisingly West too.

Port fans typically travel well to Richmond, Norwood and Unley.

Is this because North has always had the best record at Alberton, it has won nearly twice as many games there as any other club. This might explain the see of red that is always in the outer at Alberton, but doesn't explain your disdain for North.

There's probably several reasons but one is we're not affected by Crows games being on at the same time like some other clubs are and Alberton Oval games are quite often programmed on the same day as Crows games.

Souths alright if you time it with the expressway, almost a pleasant drive. Main North Rd or Salisbury Highway on the other hand...
Of course the trip down south would be even better if the Goverment upheld a promise they gave at election time to get themselves votes but that's another story.

Worst in regards to their supporter base, and crowds they get at the Parade.
Yes, South, West and Eagles have less supporters, but the fans Norwood has their efforts at travelling any further West of Adelaide Oval is poor, and has been for years.

Norwood having the highest away attendance should surely see the death of that hoary old canard.

Henderson in is a nice bonus. Should make that forward line look a lot more functional. I'd be tempted to play him at full forward in Haverlberg's role to try to keep the structure as true to normal as possible.

Not surprisingly one Gowans replaced by the other again.

For the Port side of things, I see Brett Ebert named in the Power 25 man squad. If he does play for the Power I think that's a massive blow to Port's chances. Ebert is no doubt a better player than his Magarey year (albeit with no form or confidence) and could have posed a serious threat up forward on a good day. Still might of course, but without him Port's chances seem to dim significantly.

He is named in forward pocket for the Power, probably a fair indication he will make the cut. Usually its between the ones named on the bench that miss

Can Henderson still qualify for finals?

He has played 2 for us so he needs 3 more to qualify.

We have 3 more games to play.

There is some question over whether our final game - when the Crows season will have finished - will be counted towards his tally.

I believe the final round of the AFL season is the cutoff to qualify. Any players who don't bring up the required number of games during or before that round can't play any further SANFL games.

My understanding is that the final SANFL round does count. However, any player who plays in the final AFL round cannot play the final SANFL round. This would mean that Henderson could indeed qualify.
If the cutoff is the last round of the AFL season, then that slightly advantages the team who has the bye in the last round of the SANFL season as their players can qualify in 20 matches, whilst all other clubs only have 19 matches through which players can qualify.

That is, of course, false. Playing in another club's reserves counts as a game so every SANFL round an AFL listed player can chalk up a game.

Point taken. I forgot to take that into consideration. Sorry!
If anything, it would actually mean there is a slight disadvantage to the team who does have the bye in the last round if his AFL team does not make the finals. This is because, with no more AFL matches to play, he would not be allowed to play Reserves football in the last round. The reason for this is that there is no longer any need for him to gain match fitness, as there are no AFL games left for him to be fit for!

Ebert named for the Power, Maric not named for the Crows. Henderson didn't make the final Crows side either.

Without Ebert, and even with Maric I can't see where Port's goals are coming from. I doubt they'll get enough from their midfield without a clear winner up forward.
