Thanks to everyone for the updates.
Since Sturt aren't going to sack every player on their list,
the players should give some of their (less than) hard earned back to the
clubs and its members, which I am one.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

You could be right, but i think its a case of "too little too late" for Bonaddio. He has really only played 1 decent game (today) for the year. I read a West supporter mention on another forum that hes already been told he wont stay on the Crows books next year. If he kicks big bags of goals for the remaining 2 weeks he might be a chance still, but i'd say hes probably run his race and back to Vic for him.

the crows picked him knowing he would take time, bit of a project player but footy is now about speed and endurance so I have not seen the kid so I am not sure if he has those attributes

I was at the Parade today and walked away very confused by what I saw. I hadn't seen West Adelaide at all this season and was expecting an ordinary team struggling with the basic skills to play league football. What I saw was a very capable unit, some very good big men, a speedy skillful midfield, a tight disciplined defence, and a very positive direct style of football that would trouble any team in the SANFL on any given day. I can't believe this is the team who had won only 1 match prior to today.

I noticed people discussing Bonaddio earlier in this thread. He destroyed a quality defender in Brett Zorzi today. In the first few minutes I heard a couple of West supporters bagging him, I bet they changed their minds as the match unfolded. :)

West's midfield was lethal. They worked the ball quickly and methodically to the 50 metre line and then bombed long goals with great accuracy. Today, West were as good as any team I've seen in 2006. From a Norwood point of view, it was hard to reconcile this was a team who was in the hunt for the finals only 2-3 weeks ago. Today they looked anything but a finals contender, leaving too much to too few. Unless Norwood recruits heaviliy in the off-season, we are destined for a very long 2007.

Zozri did well on Passador last week. What a turnaround on the part of Zorzi.

Zorzi's had a wonderful season. I was thinking he may be a selection in the Advertiser Team of the Year, but he had his colours lowered today. In fairness, Bonaddio is about 6 inches taller and much heavier and the ball was put into him very well.

It's bloody hard to pick. South flogged Eagles who flogged us and then we dominated todays game. Norwood beat us at Prospect yet West flogged them today.
