It's a three horse race and has been all year really.
The Eagles and Dogs don't quite have their player lists and or team structures right to serve it up to Norwood, that's fact!
North or West certainly could though in a one off GF ;)

Anything less than a North v Norwood GF would be injustice ... plus there's no way I'm EVER going to a Norwood v West GF again.

All other teams are just jerking themselves if they think they'll be there in October

Just looking at the draw are Sturt a silly chance to sneak into the finals?
Look really good in the dry and could upset a few more sides in the run home

The Eagles skill level is at times pathetic, even Goldsworthy makes horrible skill errors and he's one of our better skilled players.
We are mid table hacks and we actually deserve the tag, as our last couple of seasons recruiting is nothing short of a disgrace, apart from Ainger who is playing injured at the moment and can be excused.
Godden and Hentchel are culpable for B grade hacks like Baust, Martyn, Batley, Rae, Kirk, Blesing and Eddy.
That's seven signatures that should have been done on toilet paper
These two, along with Bruce and Norman, may be good coaches, but until this club nails it's recruiting strategy and targets, getting back to a GF is way way off.
And don't start with the injury excuses either, every club get's them and that's the perfect time to blood the good juniors we always have coming through.
It starts at the top and Mick and Trent have failed badly replacing a solid, dynamic 2011 squad.
Staple, Day, Goldsworthy, Lane, Fitzgerald, Von Bertouch and Hall just have not improved two years on and surrounding them with quality recruits hasn't happened to help

Well we beat Norwood earlier this year, so I beg to differ. Definitely I'd tip Norwood against us, but if we can beat them once this year, we can beat them again. And I certainly think we've got the player list to challenge Westies. Even by your standards you're being overly negative. Don't forget that we've one as many games as Westies this year. (Not including the Foxxtel Cup :) )

Was one offender Salter?

Sumner was reported early. Presumably striking off the ball. He was out of sorts today, the worst game he's played this season.

Lewis was the other report. Nothing in that. One of those incidents where he got to the ball a split second late and collected the Sturt player front on. The Sturt player was fine and kicked the goal.

The Lewis report was described to me as running front on at a player who's head was over the ball and bumping him in the head. Sounds like that would be multiple weeks out if true.

Also got told that Luke Jarrad dropped an unsuspecting Sturt player with a bump 60m off the ball as the Sturt player was jogging to the interchange gates. Might be another couple of weeks there if SANFL get it on video.

Could be a horror week for Eagles at tribunal.

Mitchell has been ordinary every time he's played for us can't understand how he gets an AFL game. Agree with Holden re: everything above. The fact that we're sitting fourth is how far the standard of this comp has dropped in the last few years.

Thought Goldsworthy was pretty good for you guys yesterday, reminded me a bit of Knights. Petrenko was also very good.

Eagles looked disinterested after 1/2 time.
Credit to Sturt, they appear to be traveling in the right direction.

We will play in the Elimination Final - not sure we can go much further.
Also not sure Godden can take us much further to be honest - inconsistency is a problem.

If you dont think Goldsworthy has improved holden78 then you've lost the plot mate. He would be leading the B&F at the Eagles at this stage of the season. Agree on most other points made re recruiting of late though
