A win for South now, North last night, and The Crows up over Freo, an excellent combination.

If the ABC say there must be a game on Saturday, they should at least show the end of the game

GO THE PANTHERS. Well done South Adelaide. Couldn't give a rats about the Cows and Chooks. Now go on with it and boot the barnacles out of the finals next week. Congratulations South Adelaide, it's been a while between drinks.

regards,

Good win by South today, a Bay supporter asked me at half time how I saw the game panning out.
I said South look like they more polish and class but the Bays look like they want it more.
In the second half South not only had more class but also wanted it more than the Bays hence the turnaround.
Must admit I was a bit gutted about the restult for a couple of reasons, 1) I have family and a lot of friends who barrack for the Bays and 2) I thought a 1st week of finals next week of North v Central and Port v Glenelg would have been HUGE.
Bad lucky Bays, you had a good season but it would have been nice to finish off with a finals berth.
South fans, enjoy! Its been a bloody long time.

Most unbelievable coincidence of the day was that the attendance was 1992 and that was when South last played finals!

Great to catch up briefly with Tassie and meet Spell Check for the first time as well as CA and Nai from Footysa and the Snouts.

I think the day was lost for the Bays when the Snouts decided to have a splinter group in the Bradman stand, stand united Snouts!

Hope all enjoy the pics, I might have gone a bit overboard but thought the South fans might enjoy the many taken at the end.

5 of those 6 goals were in the 2nd quarter - and these were his first goals for Glenelg, too.

Davey BOG.
At half-time, I made the comment that Glenelg had dominated the play, yet the scoreboard didn't reflect this (5 pts to Bays). As the momentum was to swing back with South, the converted their dominanance onto the scoreboard.
The chasing & pressure by South in the 2nd half was the difference- Davey applied 3 tackles in 20 seconds, which resulted in South winning the ball.
South do tend to make things hard for themselves though, with quick handballs out of the pack ending up at the feet of players/not hitting targets. When they did hit targets, they looked superb.

when HANDLES came on half way through the 1st quarter he had 2 goal assists and it seemed every time he had a possession in the forward 50 it resulted in a goal.

a very disappointing result given this was our biggest game in years and considering we have dominated previous encounters with South.

i think that is the closest we will get to finals for a while, i know that its supposed to be a 3 year plan, but we wont be any better next year unless we recruit quite heavily.

south just way too good, as i said to jb the other day at the start of the year you'd take 6th but with the way the season went it'll be dissapointing not to make it now & it is a very dissapointing but south were far too good yes we had some chances to put them 'away early' but couldn't capitalise & the two games we lost by less than a goal in the season has really hurt us in the end (sturt 1 point & north 4 points) but them the breaks
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway
