2nd Semi Final 2006: Eagles v Central

All discussions to do with the SANFL

Postby Adelaide Hawk » Fri Sep 22, 2006 4:25 pm

I have to say, I was thinking maybe Eagles by 4 goals but I've just been talking with a couple of Dogs fans who are verrrrrrry confident of victory. I guess only time will tell if their confidence was misfounded. I'm just hoping for a great game.

the only concern i have for the DOGS is that they played in hot conditions last week and that may take it out of them.

a couple of years ago the teams that played in the heat lost the week after and one was central who played in the heat and then played south at noarlunga and got smashed.

Yeah but that was 39 degrees and then we had to play at noarlunga.Last week Roy used the bench perfect in that last quarter so the heat shouldnt be a worry. This could go either way.

One question : Is this a preview to the Grand Final ?

I believe that if South beat North and then the loser of the Dogs V Eagles they will be in the Grand Final.

But ther's little chance of that.

people have been saying that about the dogs for 6 years and they prove everyone wrong EVERY time.being a north fan it pains me to say this but lets face it,the bulldogs over the last 6/8 years are one of,if not (imo)the best ever team that would hold there own against atleast half of the afl teams.love em or hate em u gotta admire them.

Dabrowski, Geddes and Vince all played reserves. This leaves a 3 man interchange for the League today of Jacobs, Rugolo, Fairclough providing there's no late callups. I'd like to know what knighta's condition is. Maybe he's a smokey for a late call up today himself. Nonetheless I hope the Eagles play the footy today that has seen them win minor premiership. If this happens I have no doubt we will be good enough to advance straight int o the Grand Final and enjoy another weeks rest before the biggest game of the year.

We have the 2nd match today & it has been absolutely pissing down in Adelaide this morning, so it will be a boring, muddy slog after South & North have chewed up the ground. Don't go in too tall, Centrals.
