Nothing wrong with that.

I agree re your expectations etc. BUT YOU CANNOT win every game or every every premiership even Centrals didn't and their GF record from 2000 is record breaking.

I expect with Norwoods pick up to date and more to come they will firm strongly as 2016 favourites.

Again they have arguably easily the best junior coach David Oatey and junior development structure in local footy.

Arguably easily? You mean he would be the best junior coach without argument, but if you were to suggest that he was easily the best junior coach people would be inclined to argue with you?
Is this the David Oatey that played for Sturt in about 1989?

Yes, TRB. David Oatey is Robert's son. He did play at Sturt. and has been at Norwood in various Junior development roles for some time. From my observations, he is a workaholic. It was pleasing to see him win a premiership with Norwood's Under 18's this year. They have been consistent finals participants for many years without getting the chocolates!

Stupid letting Oatey go leggies IMHO!!!!.

Always going to get another gig at a rival club and will be a real asset at Sturt.

Massive shoes to fill at the parade IMHO!!!

Midfield coach Geoff Riddle is a young gun who i was hoping would apply for the doggies vacant Under 18 gig.

Maybe leggies looking for the next Oatey via Riddle.

Oatey's exit does seem difficult to comprehend.
They just won 3 premierships with heaps of his former juniors and now he has just coached the U18's to a flag!
Strange but true,I suppose it will be another club's gain.
Good luck wherever he goes.

He is off to Sturt.
Big loss but good luck to him.
Scott Bassett also has left his role at the club

Yeah, David Oatey just won a flag at the helm of the U/18s after years of trying. Must have felt like his world was falling apart at NFC.

I would guess more likely that Sturt saw a quality performer, and made him an offer.

Pretty sure moving from a part time role to full time employment is always a fairly attractive incentive.

We have done pretty well in the past when an Oatey has moved from Norwood to Sturt.
