Bottom line is their are 7 other clubs that would love to of played in the GF's that the eagles won the right to play in, their are 7 other clubs that in those particular loses would of lost the GF as well
just because you lose a final to a better side it does not make you a chocker and it does not mean that you don't deserve to be there
problem is the eagles have ran in to a side and a club that have created a rare dynasty

I don't know, but we lost 6 players with over 600 games experience between them before the season started, have a captain who has played 2 games this year (that might be over-estimating) and lost a key defender to a knee injury early in the season. To counter this we regained 2 former players from the AFL and introduced 2 recruits. Yet we still made the grand finalRM wrote:MickyJ, did the Eagles lose 4 Top quality players just before the bounce like the Roosters did the week before????

At least we made the finals and contest them, year after year.
Just that Central are playing better football during the same period.
What the heck is the point of making the finals year after year if you're going to get embarrassed on the big stage? If you’re satisfied with getting there and doing no damage, your club is in trouble.
I'd rather be making the finals year in year out rather than sitting watching from home come september every year.

Whatever mate, have fun being an embarrassment every year. Biggest pretenders ever.

Dogwatcher wrote:Nothing embarassing about making grand finals and losing them to a bloody good side - otherwise we'd be embarrassed too considering we lost two in a row to Port, while others were too during that period.

Except if it was back in the day of the Flintstones. They made their homes not just from stones, but boulders, and as anyone will tell you, that's a whole world of difference. You could chuck a brontosaurus-load of stones onto a boulder-constructed home and the effect would be nil. So, I hope that has made you rethink your argument.
