That's ridiculous, an awesome oval with great atmosphere and one of the true SANFL icons.
Should scrap at least 3 others before even considering touching Thebby.

2..2 radio stations doing a live broadcast
3..televised on primetime television slot
4..sponsored jumpers

nothing would surprise me .

I would like to see the following at SANFL games next year:

1 : Craig Balme and Tim Evans debate the North Korean nuclear arm's during half time.( Balme pro nuclear,of course)

2 : Grenville Detritch take on Wal from Australia's biggest loser in a pie eating contest. ( Wal must be hungry)

3 : James and Chris Gowns' Mum write an article in the Budget every week telling tales of their child hood fued's with one and other.

4 : Andrew Jarman decide coaching is not for him,and become a media jester to please network executives.

5 : Port Adelaide take back it's rightful position at the top of the ladder and reclaim the Cup we made our own.

I would also enjoy seeing Glenelg make a return to final's football, ahh, but alas,at least the first five are realistic goals...

Thebby is a great "traditional" SANFL ground with stacks of character. It needs (and should) to be upgraded, especially score board, time clock, light towers etc. It would be nice to have toilets that were actually in the ground as well.
If it were to be upgraded, it would be the ideal place to play all nuetral games, 4 or 5 thousand at Thebby would craete a great atmosphere, 4 to 5 thousand at Adelaide and it's like a ghost town.

1. Every club play each other home and away once each. Remaining games are taken to the people - Adelaide Oval, (non SANFL club) suburban grounds, country zones, etc.

2. Grand Final at Adelaide Oval.

3. If you are a member of a SANFL club, discounted finals tickets or at least for the GF. Reward those who support all year.

4. Maybe a ticket deal where single Adult entry at the gate is $8 but $14 gets you 2 tickets.

5. If you are a Crows/Power member, pay an extra $30 and nominate your SANFL club of choice and you will become an associate member automatically with the money going direct to the nominated club.

6. ABC TV games to be a bit more evenly spread throughout the year across the clubs to attract more club sponsorship.

Agreed with all, very good idea with PAP and Cow members nominating a SANFL team.

Agree with that post.
Just needs scoreboard, clock, toliets on the outter side and food and drink on that side too.
Underage trained there a few weeks ago, all the light towers were on, with half the lights working and you could see the other side better then if it was at either Norwood or Elizabeth (meaning that it was bright enough to see everything).

Agree with #3 wholeheartedly. I might have gone this year if the tickets were significantly cheaper.

I don't disagree with the sentiments of #5, but I wonder if that might discourage some current SANFL club members from renewing full membership, and opting for a cheaper "associate" membership through the Crows/Power?
