A pretty strong side lbh

Is Monaghan injured?

Has a back injury, should be available for round one.
Dittmars concussion protocols will finish the day before round one.
Surman in the same boat having also suffered concussion.

The Nwd player (?) who dumped Dittmar has been handed a 3 game suspension.

Big ups to Mihail Lochowiak who is returning to the field for his first game in 22 months after 2 knee recons.

The Nwd player (?) also got the free kick.. again displaying the fine line between perfect tackle in the umps eyes and heinous crime in the eyes of the tribunal

Yup, in this day of protection from litigation, it seems the decisions to prosecute and punish are made upon receipt of medical assessments.

Is anyone else having issues with SANFL Now? Have logged in trying to watch the NA v Sturt game and all I get is a grey screen.

I can't find any information about this anywhere.
From Norwood's league trial team last week, missing this week (and not listed injured) are Jackson Callow and Alec Wright, so I would suggest it was one of those two. Of these two, Callow would be much more likely to be 'rested', so I'm thinking it most likely is Alec Wright.
Don't look at me in that tone of voice.

The Club was advised.
I am not sure of who the player is.
The suspension does not involve trials, the player will miss three games of the regular season.

Final score
Glenelg 12.8 (80)
Central 7.10 (52)

Glenelg... Hosie 4, McBean 3, Reynolds 2, McGree, Gerloff, Walker 1
Cent... Gasper, Grace, Tomkinson, Adams, Montgomerie, Anzac L, Lange 1

Good news from Dogs perspective is we held even in the midfield, clearances were all square and we won the hit outs.
The tale of the game was the efficiency and polish of The Bay fwds, the way they block for each other and create space is very impressive and well suited to the bigger ovals.
Meanwhile our goals were hard work with rarely an easy ball in our fwd 50.

Doggie highlights: Mani Liddy was again exceptional (22 possessions and 7 clearances in 3 quarters), Harry Grant also 22 (8 clearances) and Pudney 21 (but many rushed and ineffective). Kobe Annand was good in ruck, looks agile around the ground and had a team leading 5 tackles.

Presbury came off with a nasty looking lower leg injury. Hopefully "just" and ankle?

It’s the same as last year.

If all of their big forwards get going that is difference between them and the rest

Speaking of the same as last year…. Sturt kicked 8.20 in last nights trial… to Norths 8.6

Can anyone confirm whether Port will ‘unfurl’ their spoon in the opening round at Alberton?

The way we use the footy is still a problem.
It's why we struggle to kick 10 goals a game.
Our efficiency and decision making was poor,Glenelgs was excellent.
Do we have the list to turn it around?
Unfortunately Pudney probably had more inside 50s for us today, but you can't knock his ability to find the footy.
Agree that Anzac was good besides some disposal.
Good to see Mihail back playing, could give us the run we need.
Just a trial but a we have a few that make little impact far too often.
Hopefully prez is ok and would be nice to see Monaghan play regularly.
Any news on Barreau, Howe,East,Tippins?

If it is happening it needs to be telecast as a major event. ;)

A final score is all I ever want. Anything else is irrelevant as far as I'm concerned.

Not for me, I'd normally like to at least see the full G B P breakdown.
Did we kick 10.3, 9.9 or even 8.15 ?

In this case it's only a trial game, but there does seem to have been a general trend to relay scores as total points only.
It's a two tier scoring system and I hate how the amateurish SANFL Now rarely show the full score.
It is one thing that the AFL broadcasters do better.

Was 9.9 to 6.9
From the bits I caught of the game it seemed the wind made things difficult and Norwood trailed at the last break by 7 points and I think the score was Port 6.7 to Norwood 5.6 and with the strong wind in the last we kicked 4.3 to 0.2.
By my count I reckon Port had 18 AFL listed players which must be of some concern for them as they probably only had 1 or 2 blokes who put their hand up for promotion this week.
