great management at NOARLUNGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think South needs to say any more than they have. It's their concern and South don't have to tell other clubs' members anything.

tigger '79 , I am curious as to why the inner workings of your clubs' greatest rival are of so much interest to you.
That is unless you are keen to pick up Cupido or some more of our broken down handmedowns.

well i have several mates that play down at the club and now i understand why they are on the contracts they are.

what SOUTH have done could be a dangerous precendent and any player could get screwed in similar circumstances at any club.

Don't kid yourself B&W you might think we're your greatest rival and maybe to South we are given that in 85 years you've never beaten us in a final, have won less flags than us, so to you beating us may be a big deal.....

The only thing you've got more of than us in 86 years is spoons

We'll benchmark ourselves against the Ports and Norths of this world and in a modern day sense Centrals and the Eagles....

Beating South is common place for us, beating Port is a bit more special.....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Will agree with you on that one Blueandwhite. If he'd been even more selfish that day against Sturt, he could have ended up kicking 18.
Looked in his best knick fitnesswise way back in January when I played cricket against him.

Yeah HISTORY is a wonderful thing, warm and fuzzy etc etc.You dont have to be a rocket scientist to figure that any club has won more flags than us in the last 100 yrs. Blah blah. That ol' chestnut gets rolled out, along with "THE SALARY CAP" whenever South is mentioned.
Back to the point of my post.
Why is it so vitally important to you to have knowledge of the inside workings of a rival club?
Personally I couldnt give a f-----g f--- what goes on in the much celebrate, hallowed, cloistered, inner sanctom, at Glenelg, ever.

By the way, Whats the definition of confusion?

A fathers'& sons picnic at the Glenelg Past players. :D

Gee Blue and White first sign of a person losing an arguement is when they have to attack the individual/organisation rather than the issue

If I wanted to get down to your level I could state the definition of unemployed, A South Adelaide Football Club trophy cabinet maker   but I won't so I'll withdraw that remark

FYI History is the study of tomorrow as someone once told me as it is funny how history repeats itself....The claims kerley made about you club in the 60s still hold true today....

Maybe to get around the cap, South could pay their players in peppercorns

Just to help your comprehension skills: MT 79 is interested in his mates not the South club per se, me I'm interested in the SANFL "confidentiality" agreements the fact that South is invovled in both of those issues is to a degree coincidental but at the same time rather interesting......

Off the top of my head, yes, I can only recall four times when we have both been in the final series, 64, 77, 90 and 92

IIRC correctly we had a close game in 84 just before the finals which we won to keep them out of them at Adelaide oval

81 rings a bell too I think but we didn't play in the elimination final...

Bottom line our # of flags, GFs, finals appearances and spoons are both in the +ves towards us.

We look towards your lot and others before we look to South vis-a-vis important games in a season

Salary Cap (South Adelaide)

Postby dash61 » Thu Nov 16, 2006 3:22 pm

Salary Cap (South Adelaide)

We all question the CAP, but apart from Prendegast, Bennett, Parry who would be the big salary earners down there, Kenna would be after more now, Archard come over as an unknown but really who are the big money earners down there now that Cupido has been minced. i think if we are going down that wrong path as there a few clubs with bigger pay roles

Didn't South belt Glenelg & crush their finals "dream" just recently?
I'd say the Bay's are South's BITCHES!

I might be mistaken but I thought South had won 11 premierships and Glenelg had only won 4?

IMHO the Bays aren't a pimple on South's backside as far as history goes and if you dont want to look at history then South were still in front of the Bays in 2006.
