brent wrote:good work westies, the comment from wedgie "it will attract the kids" is spot on, and for that reason i will disagree with tassie_medallist... i too love the original bays logo but it looks very dated and kids don't have the history to attach to it. attracting young supporters has to be one of the main drivers for any sporting team hoping to secure a long term future. in between overs at the cricket you don't hear songs from 40 years ago for the same reason... its about getting the youth interested because the previous generation are already sold on it!
for these reasons i would like to see the bays modernise their logo and adopt the heritage guernsey as a clash-guernsey (not an away guernsey - there's a bloody difference!)

If West try & wear their Red away jumper vs North, there will be violence akin to August 3rd, 1985.....oldfella wrote:When playing Norths I would think we should wear the traditional black top

Ours is a unique emblem different to the old Balmain one, Richmond and Claremont emblem, which other black and gold clubs follow depending on the state they're in.

The Roosters won their last flag wearing the vertical striped 'KFC Bucket' guernsey!
Won more with a Vee on the front though.
Christ don't remind me about the candy stripes, sad part about it is some North supporters actually like that guernsey!![]()

Hope they don't wear it when the play North!![]()
Good exposure for the sponsor with it being the only thing on the front of the guernsey.

FWIW, I'd like to see North change it's logo to a "modernised" version of the old coat of arms.
