And we should perhaps bring up some more youth into our forward line Mathew Broadbent looks like he could play .And If we play Petrenko could we play cody hicks as well ?
Grocke up forward is not doing alot since he lost weight he hasn't been in great form. And Passadors marking on saturday he kept dropping uncontested marks in the first half.
And on his game in the two's dont think Vinnie should be a walk up start either.

Can you play Pederson and Dabrowski in the same league team .And lindsey looked like he was getting beat in the first half .And why with two ruckmen in the side did Macgregor ruck late in the last term westies took the ball away to easy and scored goals.

And out of left field Crows fans are complaining about Bock perhaps Bock back from the Crows and a swap for macgregor .Mind you Macgregor up forward looked at the start like he shouldve come back through the twos. But boy can he grab a mark in a pack.

All I can say is Come on Ron bring in some youth and pace even if it means U17/19 playing off the bench.we need pace so bad it aint funny.

Yeah, I'd definitely consider Batsanis in place of Klun or Fairclough. I don't think you want to be playing too many inexperienced players in the one team though which is why I'd replace Petrenko & Pederson for Fitzgerald & Redden.

I put Pedersen, Lindsay & Dabrowski in the same team so we can always have a tall down in the forward lines. Lindsay is our most important player and I wouldn't want to overload him early in the season.

I don't think we'll be seeing many of our Crows players unless they have a good run with injuries in the second half of the season and Perrie, Gill, Ricciuto and Welsh are performing very well.

Do you think on last weeks performance that Ken would get into the Crows side this week .If any one from Adelaide was watching his early on form in the game with trying to pass the ball instead of kicking a goal within the 50 metre arc they may have doubts on his confidence .

And I would enjoy watching Petrenko run out of the backline .Plus I think Pederson is ready for a league game again and have dabroski at CHF.

Yeah Mitchy needs to be pushing forward, Diggers is struggling a bit at the moment, and the Bays need to get it in long so he can atleast have a crack one on...

Is Petrenko experienced??!!!

No, that's why I'd replace another inexperienced player with him so you don't have too many in one team!!

Just looking at the ladder, if, as expected, Norwood lose to Central and Port defeat West, the winner of this game will be in the top 5 and the loser will be bottom. Pretty high stakes!

Don't worry Eagle. The Redlegs will play you back into form. We haven't beaten your mob since Anne Wills was hot.

things are looking good for the eagles with our juniors with 5 in the U18 State Squad......Fairclough, Petrenko, Hicks, Davoren and Broadbent, with Leighton just missing out........the coach Brenton Philips put big wraps on Broadbent......interesting they play a game against Vic country on July 1st straight after the Crows v West Coast game at AAMI stadium.....

i dont like the eagles but it does give me pleasure seeing glenelg lose only for some of their arseclowns supporters that like to have shots at other teams. How bad would they be if glenelg was succesful?
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

Macgregor didn't get taken by the Crows. So will be interested to see if he, grocke and Pasador can work in the forwadline this week .Perhaps a hint to the Eagles small men stay near their feet when they fly for a mark.

McGregor played CHB all day and plodded along.......he needs more game time in the SANFL before he goes back up to AFL in my opinion.......match fitness! At last we had some crumbers up forward who kick a few today......Passador for some reason could not hold his marks today......Batsanis was sensational and Choco had words with him after the game giving him good praise and a pat on the back.....Fiachi was very good all day together with Mckenzie.....Cicca pulled out before the game with groin soreness and Inkster lasted 5 minutes in the reserves before hurting his knee again.....interesting Glenelg went into their forward line 4 more times than the Eagles but tellingly did not use the corridor.....they kept coming down the flanks until in the last quarter they straightened up and kicked goals.....funny about that! Now the pressure is on players to perform to hold their positions as there are some good players getting form in the reserves......lookout........the Eagles are almost back to there best!!!!! Very good to see Bernie Vince at the game dressed in his Eagles team shirt.......excellent to see he respects the club who gave him the chance to play AFL and supporters love to see that dedication and respect.

Inkster rolled an ankle - not his knee and was ankle on other leg - hopefully only a minor setback.

Good to get a win on the board, albeit, against pretty poor opposition. The start was promising with Passador kicking three goals early. The 2nd quarter was bad footy and I thought if we were playing a decent team we would have been wiped off the park. Fortunately Glenelg wasted opportunities and were as bad as we were last week against Westies moving the ball into the forward line. Our 3rd quarter was excellent, kicking away to a 7 goal lead, but then for Glenelg to be within 16 points with 10 minutes of play still left in the last, we let it lapse again, but finished the game well to win by 5 goals.

I thought Powell and McKenzie were our best. A great start to Batsanis - he could be a major player for us this year, much like Knights was in his first season with us. 4 goals from a flank including the game sealer, he looked classy and has a bright future. Treeby, Grocke and Lindsay all played good games and Stewart and Salter were excellent in the key back posts. Stewart in particular has improved in each game. Passador again presented well and finished with 5 goals.

Not sure why Pedler was picked, to then sit on the bench for the first three quarters. I thought Kane (number 3) and Backwell were Glenelg's best players. Is Kirk injured? Lindsay dominated the two young Glenelg ruckman.

It is a lot better to be sitting 5th than last at the moment, but there is still plenty to improve upon if we are going to challenge the better teams.

Season far from over...59 to 48 inside 50s means we are getting our share of it just need to convert out opportunities.

Not saying that will always win us games but it stands to reason the more times you get it in there the chances you have to score.

Having said that not understating the challenge in front of us, but as other neutral supporters have stated on here tonight we are not far away...2004-2005 getting five goals down in the 3rd quarter we would have folded against to lose by 10...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

You'll probably need to win 10 games out of 15 to make the finals now.
Hard to see that happening.
