gwerty I agree with you that we were flogged at the clearances all day and for sure that made it a forwards nightmare. However it surely is a forwards responsibility when out of position to bring the ball to the ground, keep the ball in the area and generally have good 2nd and 3rd efforts. Unfortunately I didnt see that work ethic in Warren on Sunday nor many of his team mates. :(

Jack Nickman left south for Norwood. Can't imagine there were more opportunities at Norwood. Chris Hall up and left for Subiaco, although there were other reasons for this as well.

Not to upset you BlueandWhite .
What I noticed on Sunday and i think Warren did it at least once that I saw.Your guys going into the fifty more often than not went for the short pass rather than either going for goal or putting the ball into the square.
After WWT'S loss to Port they seemed to have gotten this message. At that game Port always went for goal from the fifty while WWT always looked for the short pass.
And lets be truthfill here some of Vinces clearances were more ASS than Class.you know what I mean balls coming back to him etc.

Always look for the better option. Just don't create something that's not there. If you're in range with no option go for goal, if not set the ball up. The best players know their games well enough to know when to not try for the goal. The best teams go for the right option most of the time.

Very true Grahaml. But if you had seen port when WWT played them you would have seen what I was talking about .

I quess the subject needs to be brought up again.

Today I saw a side that is unmotorvated, uninspired, disinterested, bored and heartless.

Ask any South or Sturt supporter and it is obvoius they are not playing for the coach.
In a way I believe today they were out there to spite him.

20m dead in front of goal, set shot - out on the full.
Wet day - handball or bounce.
Easy shots, under not pressure - out on the full or point

Pyman has lost the respect of his team.
You could see it in the way they played and in the hundles.

We have a side that should be doing better than they are showing.

I take nothing away from Sturt, hell , you guys have not got all the name players like us but the team is playing for the coach and for the club with heaps of heart.

Hell, I went to every game in 1988/89 when we lost 28 in a row but at least the guys showed more heart and busted their guts out than the guys out there in 2007.

I know this is a negative post but it is time something needed to be said - you could see it in the supporters (who were there!!) that enough is enough.

As one South supporter said to me as I left the ground "Do we have another 40 years to put up with this?" Heartbreaking.

A Top 3 finish was predicted in 2007.

What I saw was a side with NO PASSION and NO HEART.

Its time for a change the players are not responding!!! Wake up South Adelaide!!!

Fair call Southee. The performance the Panthers displayed today was very ordinary. South were expected by many to make the next step this year but they do not look at all like a team playing with any spirit or pride in the guernsey... Is Pyman the problem? From what I heard today, yes. A fresh outlook and new enthusiasm could do the world of good. Sturt is a perfect example. The team spirit showed by the Double Blues today has given me a lot of hope for the remainder of the year. If I was a South supporter I'd be very, very worried about what the remainder of the season holds...

Yeah but some of you 'supporters' said it out loud to your own players. That was the real heartbreak.

Leigh Kruger is doing well at Loxton. Perhaps he could take over. At least the lads would try for him.

Sturt were supposed to have at the start of this season made an offer to Pyman, South were required to increase his package in order to retain his services at the club. I have been filthy about that right from when it happened, particuarly when I was told that it may not have been Sturt in the first instance that approached Pyman.

Fast forward to today and MacGowan and his charges gave South some hell today, consider that on the poll in here Sturt were the team that got the most votes for the spoon. Sturt were not seen to have recruited many players and were supposed to have a fairly average list. Well clearly their list is anything but average and I think that they have uncovered a first class SANFL coach.

There are two options for South next year - John Schneebichler, or if he is able to leave on good terms - Roy Laird.

Dont take it out of context zipzap. I was at the race and it was silent except one supporter who is quite known for his mouth. Yes, one. I was with 4 Sturt supporters for the game who were with me who can back me up on this. Are you telling me a Sturt supporter has never done this?

Well, I heard two comments from South fans but you're right, apart from those idiots the silence was deafening. As frustrating as it undoubtedly was (and don't worry, Sturt fans know that feeling all too well) why didn't you take the lead and get behind your boys?

Bit hard to get behind the players. It was so quiet plus I think the silence said it all. Changes from the coaching staff must be made. I know how Sturt fans feel mate, I have alot of them as friends and know of their pain.

I wanted to give the South boys a hug they looked so despondent at the end. Then I remembered them walloping us by 100 points last time we met and I got over it pretty quickly. Funny game eh?

Oh the irony after being overlooked 10 years ago when they torpedoed Sheldon only to be beaten by the current Glenelg Football Manager, who occupies a position Sneeza used to hold.....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

The suggestion Roy Laird may coach a side other than Centrals is absolutely ludicrous. Roy's a Centrals man and should he leave there would be 3 reasons. 1 work commitments too great to juggle with footy coaching. 2 AFL calls and he can't resist. 3 He gets sick of coaching and just leaves. In all 3 options going to another SANFL club won't happen. You'll have to wait until Central get rid of him and he wants to keep coaching to have a chance, and that will be, at the absolute earliest if the dogs crash and burn this season and the next 2 in 2010.
