Ah periodisation, tapering, phasing, compound programing ya da ya da ya da....

the question the coach has to ask is, "Do I taper for the start of the season, halfway through the season or at the end???"

The following question is based on the assumption that Dutchy's information is correct and Norwood have trained right up to the start of the season to be "fresh" now (not saying he is right or wrong). Will Norwood still be this "fresh" later in the season when they need to win games to make the five???

The whole periodisation of a fitness program is a vexed as it is impossible to keep athletes "fresh" for 26 weeks, where do you want your peaks (aka optimim fitness levels)??

The again in my past life the better my "athletes" the better my strength and conditioning program was......

Norwood are a very good Football team. I think they will make the 5.
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.
