No relevance to this thread or any other, but if Jars feels that it's OK to go over old ground for material to provide an opportunity to talk about himself then it's OK for me too...

Peanut!

Anyone else got unrelated stories from the past about ANJ?

And the need to troll about ANJ is???

Anyone out there know this poster personally with anything to dredge up? You been a saint your whole life FFS?

You are right about one thing - "no relevance to this thread or any other"

Let's be realistic about this - Hargs had a good day back at Prospect on Sunday, Hargs was clearly a fan favourite down there and North lost.

So Jars prob had 10,000 North fans asking WTF did you let that champion (for 1 game in 2007) go? Maybe felt that, if the story as quoted is true, getting it out in public might steer some people off his back rather than Hargs-supporters painting the 'unfairly sacked' picture. I searched back the old thread on this site when Hargs was sacked and this story didn't come out then from what I could see.

I don't know if I would have named him publically if it were me - but I am sure Hargs is thick skinned. Most clubs these days go public on their disciplinary actions.

Nope, and nor has Jarman I'm sure...

Lots of people on here know me personally, but I don't think stories they may have about me will help their careers.

Fire away though lads...

Yes, that's my point exactly.

The fact that it has never previously been aired as a reason for Hargs leaving North, AND the fact that he was prepared to still play Hargs in the prelim final are both dodgy in my book...

Even if it is true, Jars did not need to raise the matter.

He was simply talking himself up.

As usual.

Where's he gone ... have I missed something?

We are making some big calls here based on comments (potentially tongue-in-cheek) on a radio show .... has he even applied for the job?

Geez, a month ago I heard that AFL clubs would be looking at MacGowan as an assistant once his contract at Sturt finishes .... aren't these guys allowed to think about an AFL coaching career one day? How quick we forget Jonas, Clarkson, Hamilton, Mickan, Noble .... are they all TRAITORS / EVIL / DISLOYAL ??? Someone goes on, someone else gets an opportunity such as Roy Laird.

Jars has publicly stated that it was "suggested to him by a mentor that he should apply for an AFL coaching job". I just don't know how I'd feel if the coach of my club, who are still in premiership contention was busy updating his CV on top of all the other media work etc...

I assume NAFC are only paying him a part-time wage as he's clearly only doing a part-time job...

Of course I don't particularly care as Gerrard has cash to burn so he can do with it what he wants... he might even donate $50k to Sturt for all it matters...

Geez FA - pity the safooty forum is still not going, at least you spent your time over there and not on this forum. BTW - we haven't heard "boo" from you for a few weeks and all of a sudden you posting 20 times on one topic. How about sticking to the highlights of the team you follow instead of making stupid uninformed statements about Jarman and runnig North down - leave the bagging of the NAFC to those of us that actually follow them!

Perhaps you can share some stories about your super coach and even his past media "sorties" - if I remember he tried to play the role of comedian on at least 1 radio station from memory and wasn't that a success?

As I said before .... if the alleged incident happened the night before, you are assuming Jars knew about it before the game started - I'd guess he found out later. Even if he did find out before-hand - not great timing to restructure the side at the last-minute before such an important game?

But it's all speculation and this whole thread is prob a good reason why that dirty laundry should have stayed behind closed doors I agree with you.

I just don't think that gives you license to drag up your own dirt on jars if you don't think it's fair for Jars to do it to Hargs. Or enough of a trigger for the SANFL-TRAITOR talk it sounds like people are taking this opportunity to get stuck into Jars for other things.

I am sticking to the highlights of my team. We kicked North's arse on Sunday lead by one of their former players who was harshly dealt with by their current coach. It was a highlight for me and I'm sure a highlight for the player as well.

FWIW I hadn't posted on "the other site" for ages. I get on here when I can, but sometimes life interupts.

And you're right, I should leave the bagging of NAFC to the Rooster faithful. My efforts pale in comparison to some of the negative opinionated sanctimonious wind-bagging that they spout forth.

Jars is a still a peanut.

The alleged late night out actually occured on the night after we beat South (Sun night / Mon morning) - 1 week before we played the Eagles in the Prelim. As for all the other issues surrounding it and the other players who were or were not involved doesn't really matter now.

There were a series of ongoing issues culminating in the late night after the South game, that at seasons end were reviewed and the decision was made to give Hargs the DCM. As to when and how Jarman found out doesn't really matter but the decision was made after the Eagles loss and not before. That's all I'm saying on the matter.

No, it wasn't a success.

The bloke did play in six or seven premierships though. Sadly he looks unable to translate that to a successful coaching career, but it is still relatively early days. I don't think he's considering an AFL posting just yet...

Read what your own supporters write on forums such as the powerfromport about your own team. And you call us sactimonious wind bags - you haven't been reading your own crap have you?

BTW I haven't read anything from you about how your went team on any post on this forum just an opportunistic pile of rubbish about how badly Hargs was treated at North and your complete dislike for Jarman. Again didn't see you posting the type of crap your posting now after round 9 or were you too busy back then? Selective posting and "baiting" will come back to bite you FA - you have been around thse forums long enough to know that!

I've never visited powerfromport for exactly the reasons you've outlined. If I want to read one sided drivel I'll buy the Advertiser and read Rucci, or I'll download Hansard and read Howard's bits.

I could be wrong, but I thought I did post here after you guys screwed us in Rd 9. I'll take a look and see what I can find.

I didn't really see the game properly from where I was on Sunday because some bright spark planted trees on the centre wing terraces at Prospect.

What sort of d*ckhead stands in the two rows behind the trees so they can't see properly? A smart person would have stood in front of the trees - plenty of space on the terraces in front and you have a choice of standing areas at Prospect right around the ground unlike Alberton!

I had a similar problem at Alberton. I made the mistake of standing behind the grandstand rather than in front of it and for some reason couldn't see any of the play.
