And loyalty...never forget that.

Only consolation I can give you is that all teams in all sports have their peaks and troughs. We all know that South will get back on form...maybe not this year...but they will. Also know that this is when they need their supporters most...stick with it.

Thanks for your company...at least you had the guts to stay to the final siren.

Oh man. Saw the most of the second half and some of the basic skill errors we made were just deplorable. Hard to imagine Norwood was pumped by 160-odd a few weeks back citing today's performance.

T'was out for the first half so no stats from me on this match until Tuesday night. Not quite sure I wanna watch the replay, though.

Cheers JAS, I always think I will turn the radio off as things get bad but I just can't do it.....it is that loyalty that you talk about.....once a Panther, always a Panther...whatever the performance. Will be back next week no doubt, hoping to salvage something out of the season.

What a disgrace!!! A side of basic errors, uncommitted, disinterested, no pride in the jumper, going through the motions.
That was by far worse than last week against Sturt. You can forget making the 5 now. That was an embarrassment to have that televised for the 2nd week in a row with a pitiful performance like that!!! The club should hold its head in shame!!

I could not pick a player that stood out today. NOT ONE!
You actually could see players out there today that did not try at all.

Full credit to Norwood. You played some great footy. I have always thought Norwood are a better side than they are showing. Really liked the way McGuiness plays footy down in the back lines.

So what now for South? We were pathetic up forward (5 goals in a game - a joke!), Killed in the mid field, Backlines did not hold up. Its about time the members, sponsers and supporters were given answers. Its just not good enough to have a performances like that today (and last week).

Watching today - it was a farce. Players out there should not be taking the $$$$'s today.
Its time to start again. Clean it out. get a new team plan going and structure.

It breaks me apart writing this. I am a passionate, paid up supporter and to see what we have produced this year has been not acceptable. Wake up!!!

So much for Pymans 5 year plan when he was appointed as coach!!!!

You don't ask for or expect wins each week but what you do want is an effort, and if that doesn't occur you have right to feel cheated.

Just when you thought things couldnt get any worse....

I hate ripping into the club/players, but it was very, very difficult to sit through that game.

Undisciplined (stop playing like millionaires and talking back to the umps), passionless, poor skills, no chasing, no pride, no bloody interest.

5 goals on the norwood oval on a perfect day for footy is a disgrace. we made an average team look half decent. I'd be interested to know how many ball-ups/stoppages took place in the south forwrd 50. NWD ran it out with absolute ease all day. We just cant lock it in there.

what a paltry crowd. I know rph said it was 1500, but i doubt there were more than 1000 there. Must have been about 30 south supporters on the outer, and about 15 at the huddles. embarrassing really.

I wouldnt blame Pyman if he walked out.

Ellis presented hard, Jacques had a crack as he aways does, wright did a few things.

Witnessed the match at Norwood today. All I can say is that I enjoyed the coopers beer for a change ,to drown my sorrows in.
Without doubt we are a club in crisis.
I dont know what is going on but there has to be something horribly amiss, to see 21 players put in a performance like that. Norwood were good but I'm sure they are not as good as we made them look today.

South were DISGRACEFUL today and never at our bad times over the past 4 or so years has it ever got that bad, even though we may have lost by more. South didn’t want to be out there today and their discipline was a disgrace. They gave away at least 5 25 metre penalties and Scott McGlone should be ashamed of himself after his little gutless act in the last quarter.

Norwood played pretty well, but I wasn’t too impressed. We slackened off something shocking in the third quarter and our skills were terrible. We missed targets, picked the wrong options and our finishing was poor. Tyrell was a big loss to our structure as Meesen had to ruck and DeJongh went forward. We looked more dangerous with Meesen up forward.

Pitiful crowd which unfortunately was to be expected.

Well, South are going to be in the running to take the Wooden Spoon this year! - There's another one for the cabinet!

Best thing that South could do is put some players out of their obvious misery and pay them out and release them from their contracts and free them up to go home or play for the club that they really wish to be at. At least that will give us several games to give our reserves players game time to train for a position on the team next year.

Dissapointing place to be in yet again for all of the members and one that seems to be all to familiar, Do we put our heads down and try and keep working towards one day being successfull, or do we acknowlege the fact that the club has a losing culture and in 20 years time is unlikely to be any different? How many people in 1965 would ever have thought that 42 years on the club would not have won a flag since 1964? Hence the members of the club might want to face the real reality that the same could well be the case in a further 42 years.......

Do we continue to grit it out, or do we begin merger talks with West Adelaide?

Well I am happy with Norwood's effort and the result but I have to say with all due respect.....that was one of the worst efforts I have seen in watching football for 40 odd years....South I mean.
How many basic errors can one team make, every aspect of the game was disgusting.....our guys applied the pressure and the Panthers just coughed it up time and time again!
Dont want to put the boot in but for God's sake this can not go on for the sake of football in general. Dont know the answer because I dont really care but after last year I thought the Panthers would be right up there...did they swap jumpers with Sturt ?

There is a part of your answer I believe Southee, if not already in place there really needs to be a concise pathway for the SFL teams to produce quality kids for South to develop, might cost some $$$ and plenty of effort (an Southern academy?) but better spending the $$$ on them than the recruit who aint playing for the jumper

Yes but half of Cupido goals came agaisnt Sturt and West last year....agaisnt the easy opponents.

when pitted against quality opponents he was exposed for the lazy piece of sh!t that he is....
